QUARTER 1KEY ASSIGNEMNTS ARE COMING UP!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15
Grade 4 has been preparing for their first Key
Assignment and are very excited to present -Baltia: Olympic Candidature Procedure

Quarter 1, Grade 4 Blue students have been focusing their Point

of Inquiry exploring their own cultures, other cultures, as well
as how the physical earth affects cultures. We studied thee
physical earth and landforms. We looked at how landforms can
impact culture. We feel that our Key Assignment reflects our
studies this Quarter and are excited to present!

The Key Assignment schedule is similar to a normal day at school, especially when
we think about BEHAVIOR.
We ask all students, parents, and visitors to please show respect to those
presenting. Please talk to your child about correct behavior during Key Assignment
presentations.
It is VERY IMPROTANT that we all show respect while other students are
presenting.

Homework Policy
Device & Technology Policy

Students SHOULD bring electronic

devices EVERY DAY for
instructional purposes.
Devices such as cell phones, I-pads,
tablets, or laptops are acceptable.
Students SHOULD leave their
devices in their cubby inside the
classroom for SECURE storage.
Students are responsible or THEIR
OWN DEVICES.
QISS will not take responsibility
for lost or broken devices.

UPDATE! STUDENTS WILL BE DOING

PAPER MATH HOMEWORK STARTING IN
WEEK 8!
Grade 4 students will have homework every
day Monday-Thursday.
Students will write their homework every day
in their own personal planner.
Parents should sign their childs planner
EVERY NIGHT to ensure that homework is
being done.
Grade 4 students will do MOST homework
online using various websites:
o IXL, Reading Rewards, Raz-Kids, Edmodo
Online homework will be checked weekly and
students will be given Dojo points for
completed homework.

Daily Student Required Materials

Bring a HEALTHY snack to school every day: fruit, dried fruit,

crackers, cut vegetables, seaweed, small sandwiches!
Bring a bottle of water to class every day!

BRING PLANNER, HOMEWORK and MATERIALS EVERY DAY!
