PIP PN03SV0S01
Piping Material Specification Line Class 3SV0S01
Where pipe schedule is shown under SCH/RAT, it is adequate for the full flange rating. Where Calc is shown, the pressure limit may be lower than
flange rating.
All buttwelded component thicknesses shall match pipe thickness.
Threaded joints are permitted only at outlet of vent and drain valves, at hydrostatic test connections, at outlet of instrument take-off valves, and to match
equipment.
These valves shall be used only for vent, drain and instrument connections.
These valves have no flanges, but are installed between line flanges with extra length bolts.
Full port valves shall be used when indicated on P&ID.
Pressure and temperature rating may be limited by certain components permitted by this specification. Refer to manufacturers recommended pressuretemperature restrictions.
Weld neck flanges shall be used against buttweld fittings. Otherwise, use slip-on flanges.
To be used when mating to flanged nozzles.
This material specification is not a listed specification in ASME B31.3. See ASME B31.3, Paragraph 323.1.2 for use of unlisted material.
To be used only when indicated on the P&ID.
Use branch weld with reinforcement pad when the minimum header wall thickness (specified or measured) at the branch location exceeds xxx, where
xxx equals the wall thickness value for the letter symbol shown in the legend. Use full encirclement reinforcement (length equals twice the branch pipe
OD) when the wall is less than or equal to xxx.
Install in horizontal position with cover up.
Install in horizontal position with cover up or in vertical position with upward flow.
Install in horizontal position with hinge pin vertical or in vertical position with upward flow.
Integrally reinforced branch connections are permitted outside the sizes shown in the branch connection tables.
