I have redirected users documents to a DFS share, and they are made available offline, but sometimes
when they are working on their my documents, the files gets greyed out and have e red cross on them.
See picture:

Sync Schedule?
Offline files on Windows 7 pc's greyed
out

I have tried to make a complete syncronisation of the files, where it completes, but that doesn't help.
The only way to get the files back is to eiter log off and on again, or a restart of the computer.
I'm running Windows 7 Enterpris x64 and the file servers are running on Windows Server 2003 R2.
Have anyone seen this before and maybe know a solution on it :

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Try this,

To resolve this problem, reinitialize the cache of offline files. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or
click Continue.
2. Locate the following registry subkey, and then rightclick it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CSC
3. Point to New, and then click Key.
4. Type Parameters in the box.
5. Rightclick Parameters, point to New, and then click DWORD 32bitValue.
6. Type FormatDatabase, and then press ENTER.
7. Rightclick FormatDatabase, and then click Modify.
8. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
9. Exit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.

Hope it helps.

I have the same greyed out folder with the red cross issue, but with one additional issue; client files
do not replicate up to the server. Files sync down to the client but not up to the server on Win 7
machines but sync both ways on xp machines. I have reset the cache as above and all that seems to
happen as a result is that the local sync partnership gets blown away and is replaced with the
statement that "No more sync partnerships can be enabled on this computer".
If its any relevance the Domain controler and logon server is Server 2008 and the document server
housing the redirected shares is a newly built server 2008 R2 server.
Any help gratefully received.
