Makati City

The 33 rays, outlining the map of Makati, stand for the barangays, surging
forward to a brighter future. The golden yellow color represents wealth and
prosperity.
The buildings in green symbolizing life, reflect the new progressive Makati.
The church represents the historic Nuestra Seora de Gracia popularly known
as the Guadalupe Ruins, Makatis oldest church, used as a fortress by
Filipinos against the Spaniards in 1896 and against the Americans in 1898.
The waves represent the ebbing tide from which the town got its name as
the phrase "Makati na,Kumakati na" meaning ebbing tide.
Manila City
The Seal of Maynila depicts the words Lungsod ng Maynila and Pilipinas,
Filipino for City of Manila and Philippines, in a circle around a shield. The
circle also contains six yellow stars representing the city's six congressional
districts. The shield, in the shape of a pre-colonial people's shield, depicts the
city's nickname Pearl of the Orient on top; a sea lion in the middle, in
reference to the city's Spanish influences; and the waves of the Pasig River
and Manila Bay in the bottom portion. The colors of the seal mirror those of
the Flag of the Philippines.
Pasig City
THE WOMAN AT THE CENTER OF THE LOGO REPRESENTS THE MUTYA NG PASIG, THE
IDEALISM OF PERFECTION IN ALL ASPECTS THAT EPITOMIZES LOYALTY, GOODWILL
AND SPLENDOR OF THE CITY OF PASIG. THE BODY OF WATER ON BOTH SIDES OF
THE WOMAN IS A SUGGESTION OF THE PASIG RIVER CONNECTING TWO BODIES OF
WATER, LAGUNA DE BAY AND MANILA BAY BOTH SUGGESTED BY WAVES. ANOTHER
PART OF THE SEAL IS THE GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATION OF THE INDUSTRIAL AND
COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS MANIFEST PROSPERITY AND PROGRESS, THE
HALLMARKS OF THE CITYS DEVELOPMENT. LASTLY, THE CHURCH REPRESENTED IN
THE SEAL IS THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION PARISH CHURCH.

Marikina City
The two mountains represent the majestic twin ranges of the Cordillera and Sierra
Madre between which the Marikina Valley nestles, traversed by the Marikina River.
The rising sun points to the eastern location of the city, with each ray representing
the citys barangays.
The machinery gear symbolizes its industries and the shoelast represents the
traditional manufacture of the city. The torch focuses on the lofty and noble ideals
for human development and a better quality of life, and is symbolic of its Hispanic
culture and tradition.
The bamboo underscores a mixture of the peoples natural humility and strength of
character and also emphasizes the citys transition from an agricultural past to the
urbanized, industrial present; while the leaves and branches symbolize order and
serenity. The bamboo and the wheel represent the Marikina and its peoples respect
for, and protection of the environment so as to remain in harmony with progress.
