AbstractConstitutionaI cIassification is the basis and core of constitutionaI research of Chinese medicinewhich is
formed through drawing the reIated Iaws from compIicated constitutionaI manifestations and then set up a grouping system.
The paper perfected the constitutionaI cIassification systemdivided the human constitutions into nine basic groups . The
grouping and naming basisconstitutionaI stating principIe and methodconnotation and document basis of different constitutionaI groups were expIained respectiveIy .
