SPECIFICATION FOR MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
8-3.1

SCOPE

8-3.1.1

The term Mechanical Equipment for the purposes of this specification

refers to the following units:
a) All rotating machinery
b) All reciprocating machinery
c) All mechanical handling and packing and associated machinery
(exclude Conveyor Systems that specified on Appendix 8-4,
Tripper Conveyor on Appendix 8-5, Portal Scraper on Appendix
8-6, Bagging Machine on Appendix 8-7).
d) Filtration and Separation equipment

8-3.2

CODES AND STANDARD

8-3.2.1

USA Codes and Standards shall be used throughout. The edition current
at the date of the CONTRACT Award shall rule.

8-3.2.2

The following list of the latest edition Codes and Standards shall be
used, but is not intended to be a complete list of such Codes and
Standards. Where alternatives are allowed within these Codes, then the
higher quality alternative shall apply.
