The Fluid Level Switch directly detects the fluid level by means of a symmetrical vibrating fork and converts it into an electrical signal. Dependent on the applied electronics insert the output signal is a 4/20 mA current signal (electronics insert type FEL 5), a Namur signal (electronics insert type FEL 56) or a digital signal (electronics insert Type FEL 57). Both types of the Fluid Level Switches distinguish themselves by a direct with the electronics enclosure connected vibrating fork (compact version) or a fixed vibrating fork with tube ‘extension. Further variations are in the process connection and in the housing material. Ambient temperature range for the electronics housing: -20 °C... +60 °C, -40 °C... +70 °C, if an explosive atmosphere is not present continuously or for long periods Fluid temperature range: -20 °C... +60 °C, -40 °C... +150 °C, if an explosive atmosphere is not present continuously or for tong periods The relation between fluid temperature at the sensor and the temperature class is given in the table below: Temperature Fluid temperature class (Sensor) 16 < 85°C 15
