upgrade their Database Version 10g
10.2.0.4.0 to 11gR2 11.2.0.4.0.

RMAN / Standby Database Rolling
Procedure to Upgrade their
Database.

successfully able to upgrade the
customers Production ERP
Database (size over 4.5 TB). This
mission was accomplished in
under 10 minutes (much less than
the client mandated
requirement).

The client had evaluated various

upgrade options including XTTS,
DBUA and RMAN Duplicate and
found all of these to consume
anywhere from 8 to 12 hours.

Key Benefits

The acceptable downtime for this

upgrade was about 30 minutes.
