Rekreasi penggunaan obat resep adalah masalah serius dengan remaja. Nasional studi
menunjukkan bahwa remaja cenderung telah menyalahgunakan resep obat daripada obatobatan ilegal jalan.
Banyak remaja rasa obat resep aman karena mereka yang diresepkan oleh dokter. Tetapi
mengambil mereka untuk nonmedical digunakan untuk mendapatkan tinggi atau
"mengobati diri" dapat hanya berbahaya dan menyebabkan ketagihan mengambil obatobatan terlarang jalan.
Ada risiko kesehatan yang sangat serius dalam mengambil obat resep. Inilah sebabnya
mengapa mereka diambil hanya di bawah perawatan dokter. Dan bahkan kemudian,
mereka harus dimonitor untuk menghindari kecanduan atau masalah lain.
