Remove driver and passenger seat toward

rear to end position
Remove stowage compartment or ashtray
housing (2).
Remove bolts (3)
Pull cup holder (4) upward out of center
console (1)
Unlock catch hook (18) at bottom of handle
(5) downward with suitable screwdriver and
remove handle (5) from parking brake lever
(13).
Unlock catch hook (18) at bottom of handle
(5) with suitable unlocking tool (19) (e.g.
sewing awl) downward and remove handle
(5) from parking brake lever (13).

Move passenger seat toward front

Remove center armrest
Open stowage compartment or rear ashtray
housing (6) and remove from rear center
console cover (7) until electrical connector
(8) is accessible.
Disconnect electrical connector (8) and
remove stowage compartment or rear
ashtray housing (6)
Unscrew bolt (9).
Unclip rear center console cover (7) from
rear center console (1) starting at bottom
with long wedge and remove.

On model 169 with code (280) Leather
steering wheel or on model 245 with code

The catch hook (18) is accessible
through the seam of the leather
cover.Carefully unlock catch hook through
seam in leather cover to prevent damaging
the leather cover.

Unclip upper center console cover (10) from

center console (1) starting at rear with
mounting wedge

Installation: Ensure that rear center

console cover (7) is seated correctly on
center console (1).
When replacing center console on vehicles

conditioning
When replacing center console (1).

Installation: Press upper center console

cover (10) downward in area of drawer (11)
when installing in center console (1).
Ensure that upper center console cover (10)
is seated correctly on center console (1).

Remove bolts (12)

Pull parking brake lever (13) all the way up
Move front passenger seat toward rear
Lift center console (1) at rear and move
over parking brake lever (13) and remove
toward rear.

17.2

Lift center console (1) at rear, pull slightly

toward rear until electrical connectors (15 or
17) are accessible and lay down on parking
brake lever (13).

Separate electrical connectors (15)

19.1

Disconnect electrical connector (17).

20.1

Move center console (1) over parking brake

lever (13) and remove toward rear.

Install in the reverse order
