Mr. Srikrishna, an environmental engineer from Banglore, representing the software company, Mindtree, and Mr. Taufiq from the local NGO Nayee Kiran addressed the students of Std VI-XIT on 14° September on the issue of waste management. Our school was the venue of the Hazaribag Sahodaya Inter-school Chess Tournament, Aug 25-28. Our high school team comprising of Suyash Patel, Sai Kishan, Ramnik, ‘Ayush and Roshan Oraon took the runners up trophy in the senior category. Our junior team was placed in the 4* position. TheJHAKAS Football Tournament was organized by the Tribal Support Trust early August. Forty two teams took part Our school team defeated | some strong football clubs | towin the championship. The 36" Fr. Kevin Grogan Memorial Football Tournament was held at St. Xavier's School, Bokaro Steel City, 26-28 August. Our team played the final match of the tournament for the fifth consecutive year. But we lost the final match to St. Robert's, Hazaribag. In the inter-house matches Volleyball boys’ champions were Xavier while Britto were the girls' champions. Xavier secured the first position in senior boys' football.
