Oracle Database Administrator (SQL, PL/SQL)

We currently have a vacancy for an Oracle Database Administrator fluent in English, to offer
his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels. The work will be carried out either in
the companys premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment,
the successful candidate will be integrated in the Database Administration team of the company
that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.
Your tasks:
Installation, configuration and administration of the Oracle database;
Monitoring, tuning and application incident management of the database;
Backup and restoration of Databases, as well as access management;
Maintenance, testing and implementation of disaster recovery plans;
Drafting and reviewing the documentation of the database and the application procedures;
Provision of quality support and guidance to IT members, as well as coordination of the
database and application support;
Ensuring the coherence of locally developed solutions and implementing the security rules
and procedures to assure the integrity, availability and confidentiality of data;
Installation of security and critical patches.
Your skills:
Minimum 16 years of combined relevant university studies and experience in IT sector;
Minimum 12 years of professional experience in Oracle database administration,
installation and configuration;
Proven experience in SQL, PL/SQL, RMAN and Data guard;
Strong knowledge of MS SQL, WebLogic and Appeon;
Knowledge of Agile methodology, Project Management tools, XML, Java and Business
Objects would be an asset;
Experience in Linux/Unix operating system and MS Windows would be advantageous;
Ability to collaborate both with developers and users in order to solve problems;
Capability to work within a team and share knowledge and information;
Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure;
Fluent in English both oral and written, knowledge of French would be an asset.
