SUNDAYS ANTHEM
CALVARY

AWANA Sunday, October 16

There will be no AWANA this Sunday night. Happy Fall Break! See
you on Sunday, October 23 for Potato Head Night. Bring a potato and
we will decorate it!

Trunk or Treat
So blind I could not see,
longing to be set free;
He did it all on Calvary.
My life was bound by sin,
but then He took me in;
He did it all on Calvary.
Calvary, oh, what it means to me;
Since Jesus set me free,
I think of Calvary.
Jesus' blood, oh, what a cleansing flood,
He did it all for me on Calvary.
It was His love for me,
that nailed Him to a tree,
He did it all for me on Calvary.
And now by faith I know
His grace has made me whole.
He did it all on Calvary.
Calvary, oh, what it means to me;
Since Jesus set me free,
I think of Calvary.

October 26 7 pm
Please consider hosting a game or decorating a vehicle trunk to
participate in our Trunk or Treat this year. We have several carnival
games that you can choose from, plus several options that the
Children's Ministry is willing to rent if you are interested. So, grab
your Sunday School class, Bible Study group, WMU group or several
of your friends and sign up together. Or go solo and simply decorate
your trunk and pass out candy. Options and creativity are
endless! There is something for every person in our church to do whether it is sit and pass out candy or become more involved and play
games. Sign up with the form in your Sunday School folder.
Remember, this is our opportunity to do something nice for our
community with the hope that we can build relationships with people
who need to hear about Jesus. Everyone is asked to help the children's
and preschool committee make this event a success.
Along with participation in our event, we also invite everyone to donate
candy. There will be a donation bin in front of the church office. We
ask for no candy that will melt (chocolate) and only candy that is
already individually wrapped.

Sunday School

2016-2017
We will be starting a rotation of teachers and parents. I am in need of
individuals to teach three month shifts in three of our children's
classes. If you are able to assist, please contact me as soon as possible!

Family Fun Night- Christmas Crafts

Friday, December 2

Sunday October 30th is the 5th Sunday for the

current quarter. The church council has set aside
this date for us to have one combined worship
service at 11:00 followed by lunch together in the
fellowship hall. This will be a great day to
worship together and then enjoy a meal together
and engage in genuine fellowship as one body and
one church. The youth will be providing and
serving the lunch on this date. Each year we try
to raise funds for a local family that needs help
for Christmas. Last year we were able to help
three different families. So on October 30th, we
are asking for a donations to our youth ministry
so that we will be able to serve a needy family.
Be sure to sign up for one of our winter retreats.
Our middle school students attend MOVE,
December 29-30 and our high school students
attend Strength to Stand, January 14-16.
Information and sign up are available at
www.insideoutstudents.net

More details coming soon, but you will not want to miss this
event! Mark your calendars!
