This encyclopedia will give a quick access to a description of all pollution problems, their sources and their solutions.

In addition to entries covering all relevant topics there will be many overview tables that for all the relevant
environmental problems will give an answer (together with the details in the entries of course) to the following core
questions like: What is a pollution problem and its implications; What are the sources - qualitatively and
quantitatively; How can we assess the problem; How can we solve the problem considering the following tools:
environmental technology, ecotechnology, cleaner technology and environmental legislation; and how to consider
the problem in a general environmental strategy?
