A recent report from the Professional Jockeys Association even went so far as to advise
people to move accounts from the traditional High Street banks, due to the banks inability to
cope with this new type of crime.
Electronic fraud is becoming ever more sophisticated and it is evident that the banks have not kept
up to speed with technology, and are now struggling to deal with the impact of this new wave of
crime.
I thought it would be useful to give you some insight into the types of fraud to look out for and
how best to mitigate against them. We have also listed some points to check with your provider to
ensure they have the necessary security, services and regulatory controls in place
to protect you.
