WORKING LEVEL
GENERAL NOTES
1. Contractor to verify dimension on site before commencement of works
and report any discrepancies to consulting Architect. It should be
acknowledged that written dimensions(in millimeters or meters) be
followed in preference to scaled dimensions.
2. Architectural drawings to be read with relevant structural, mechanical and
electrical drawings, bills of Quantities and Technical Specifications. Any
discrepancy should be reported immediately to the Architect. It should be
noted that all reinforced concrete work is to be in accordance with the
structural
engineer's specifications and details.
3. All walls less than 200mm thick to be reinforced with hoop iron at every
two alternate course.
4. All retaining walls to be damp proofed civil engineer's specification and
detailing.
5. All sanitary work to be in accordance with M.O.H rules and regulations:
-Drainange pipes under drive ways to have 150mm concrete surrounding.
-All waste pipes and soil pipes are to be in ducts and the bends to have all
cleaning eyes accessible from outside.
-All manholes within building area, driveway and parking to have heavy duty
air tight covers and double sealed.
6. All windows and external glazed doors on ground floor to have burglar
proofing to detail, where applicable.
7. All door frames to be rebated and molded and be & be full width of wall
with
molded architrave to detail and provide rubber door stops to all doors.
8. Stair case and lobby doors to be self closing and 1/2 hour fire
resistant. Fire fighting equipment to be provided and installed by Building
Fire
Consultants where deemed necessary, as required by law.
9. Provide G.I 125x100 rain water down pipes and 125x100 G.I box gutter
with brackets etc, where applicable and necessary.
10.Lay 1 layer and paving slabs 600x600 on sand along the perimeter of the
building.
11.Samples of fittings, materials etc, to be produced and approved before
commencing work.
12.Windows to have P.C cills built in P.V pelment boxes & timber internal
window cills & skirting.
13.Wood trusses ,frames & purlins to be painted with two coats of antitermite
oil paint. While, where Steel trusses / portal frames & purlins have been
used,
apply two coats of oil paint.
14.The ARCHITECT shall not accept any LIABILITY for the works which he
has
not been expressly instructed in WRITING (& has accepted to proceed in
writing) to SUPERVISE or for any ommissions or deviations from his
Drawings/Technical Specifications. Nor Shall he take responsibility for works
handled by other nominated Consultants / Contractors.
