5. BUGFIXES IN R9A00
5.1 STM-4 PRBS checker
Configuration PRBS checker input source for the LIU OC-12/STM-4 is always set to output from the LIU
towards customer. Selecting the PRBS checker on OC-12/STM-4 input is not configured correctly, and
hence the measurement is not valid. This has been fixed in R9A00.
5.2 Lost contact alarms may give inncorrect SETS status on DXC Frame
In systems using the Shelf Assy 4 IFU DXC and the DXC Frame, lost contact alarms with plug in units can
occur if the local microcontroller experiences a SW reset. The SETS function on the DXC Frame may
temporarily provide incorrect information until the reset initialisation has been completed. This has been
fixed in R9A00.
6. BUGFIXES IN R9A01
6.1 XPAND Enhanced Direct Mapping FKCN5551D-T
The R9A01 release supports enhanced direct mapping on FKCN5551D-T.
7. BUGFIXES IN R9A02
7.1 Report Generator
The report generator is only reporting the 100 oldest alarms from the Fault Event Log. This has been fixed in
R9A02 and R9B01. All alarms are reported.

7.11 The Radio could change frequency when channels are in different radio bands
A defect regarding unintentional change of frequency or Power settings due to heavy DCC traffic have been
fixed in R9A02 and R9B01.
7.12 G.826 UAS Counter in XPAND Ethernet with Direct Mapping systems
The G.826 UAS counters for XPAND with direct Ethernet mapping are not correct. The UAS counters may
count errors that are not correct in systems with Ethernet and no PDH traffic. This defect is present for
XPAND with direct Ethernet mapping systems using R9A00 and R9A01. The defect has been fixed in
R9A02 and R9B01.

8. BUGFIXES IN R9B00
8.1 Report Generator
The report generator is missing the following items: SNTP configuration, Cumulative G.826, Network
Neighbours, Licenses, IP range setting, RPS performance for 1+1 with LPT, User Configured routes and
RPS configuration for section and channels. This has been fixed in R9B00.
8.4 ICMP
The ICMP echo replies has not been routed according to the stack forwarding table. Instead the reply has
been sent directly to the incoming interface. This is a problem when the return path according to the routing
table is on another interface. This is easily seen on ring topologies where ping/traceroute will fail for
otherwise reachable elements when forward and return paths are different. This defect is present in R8A
releases and in R9A releases. The defect has been fixed in R9B00.

9.2 The Radio could change frequency when channels are in different radio bands
A defect regarding unintentional change of frequency or TX power settings due to heavy DCC traffic have
been fixed in R9A02 and R9B01.
9.3 G.826 UAS Counter in XPAND Ethernet with Direct Mapping systems

Depending on what versions is on the active and inactive, the software installer will minimize the need for
transfer between web client and element. If the software is not complete after first tar, you have to choose the
second tar file. If the package becomes complete on the element, you are allowed to switch the software.
Use the SU SW Versions tab and click on Switch Software tab. The SU will restart, so the connection to the
WEB server is lost. You should be able to log in again after a short while.
Please note that with SW version R4Bxx information about the current SU is stored in the IFU Basic Frame.
As a result the SU has to be activated after the first restart running R4Bxx. Press the Set Current SU active
button displayed in figure 2. Also, the cache must be cleared after SW upgrade. If the cache is not cleared,
the web pages may not show correct information. Please refer to handbook for a description of how to clear
the cache in different browsers.
