‘This Akai innovation
lets you choose any
volume level with a single touch.
Akai's exclusive pressure sensitive
volume scale makes it possible.
When you touch the part of the scale
corresponding to a certain volume,
the bright FL meter instantly shows
the level. A special safety circuit
prevents abrupt volume increases for
smooth performance. Volume level
is controlled automatically by a
C-MOS integrated circuit and an A/D
converter linked to a microcomputer
for highly reliable operation.
Alter the receiver has been turned
off, the volume setting Is retained by
a builtin capacitor for immediate
recall when the receiver is turned on
again. Very high volume levels aren't
retained, but instead are toned down
toa more normal range, Direct Access
Volume Control enables fingertip
operation with pinpoint accuracy.
20Station Random Preset Memory
The technologically advanced tuner
section features instant station recall
at your fingertips. Up to 20 station
frequencies (16 for the AA-A3S) can
bbe programmed into the memory in
either the AM or FM bands. Simple
operation of the attractive flat-panel
keys tunes in the programmed station
of your choice. The convenient Auto
Scan function helps you find the
station you want by Scanning the

Akai's innovative 4-gang purely
electronic tuning system with quartz-
frequency synthesis keeps the stationsecurely locked in until you change it.
Microcomputer circultry ensures drift
free reception with pinpoint accuracy.
For astonishing sound quality, the
dual-gate MOS-FET front end delivers
excellent SIN performance with
impressive sensitivity.
Coupled with the electronically con-
trolled bass and treble controls Is the
convenient Acoustic Memory function.
It allows the memorization and recall
of two different tone settings to suit
differences in musical taste or types
of music. To hear the original signal
without any tone control, just press
the handy DEFEAT button for an
on-the-spot audio reference. Total
operation status of the electronic
tone control is clearly shown on
the FL display.
In order to take direct advantage of
today's high performance MC (moving
coil cartridges, the AA-AdS Is equipped
with an internal MC head amp that
makes outboard step-up transformers
unnecessary. A two-position switch
allows the use of either MM or MC

remarkable value and performance.
‘The AA-A26 receiver takes full
advantage of Akai’s advanced micro-
‘computer circuitry developed for the
‘AA-AdS and AA-A35. You get clean,
sophisticated styling and quality
music reproduction with impressive
value. Microcomputer-assisted fully
electronic operation makes this the
receiver everyone will find easy to use.
Features like Direct Access Volume
Control, computer controlled function
changing, Acoustic Memory, and a
large, centralized FL display lend an
air of refinement normally associated
with receivers that cost much more.
The AA-A25 will certainly upgrade
the performance and versatility of
any basic sound system.
For the finest sound reproduction
AA-A25
possible, DC amplifier construction
is considered the basic starting point.
‘That's why Akai has included it in the
‘AA-A26. The Dual Pole DC servo power
amp puts out an impressive 120 watts
of music power (30 watts x2 rated
output power; 20Hz—20kHz, 8 ohms),
‘more than enough for nearly any
listening situation. Sound is clean and
pure for faithful music reproduction,
‘The AA-A2S also uses Akai’s advanced
quartz synthesizer tuning. Broadcasts
are tuned in clearly with pinpoint,
accuracy, with station frequencies
shown numerically on the brilliant
FL display. Random Preset Memory
‘enables one-touch tuning of up to 16
stations in either FM or AM bands.Neo Cue ne Cm Crue NAMB
