Ware County District Technology Fair

Registration Form
The District Educational Technology Fair is a qualifier for the regional Okefenokee RESA Tech Fair.
The OK RESA Tech Fair is the state qualifier for the Georgia Educational Technology Fair held in
March in Macon, Georgia. Students applying for the tech fair must be in grades 3-12 and must be
enrolled in a school within their District (County) of application. Finalists who receive first place at
recognized regional technology fairs may compete at state.
A "team" is one entry with one or two collaborating students. 1st and 2nd place teams advance to the
regional competition.
Students can only enter one project and one category, excluding the Technology Literacy Challenge.
The Technology Literacy Challenge will only be entered at the regional competition.

3-D MODELING - Artwork digitally created and modeled in three dimensions.


ANIMATION - Original design allowing for the motion of objects.
AUDIO PRODUCTION - Original audio production that has been edited/produced with digital software.
DEVICE MODIFICATION- Devices engineered and/or modified by students to serve a specific purpose
or meet a specific goal.
DIGITAL GAME DESIGN - Original content, design, and rules of an interactive game using a software
program of choice in order to demonstrate creativity, originality, organization, and interactivity.
DIGITAL PHOTO PRODUCTION- Computer created original project using original student
photographs. The project must be displayed on a computer in the program in which it was created.
GRAPHIC DESIGN- Student created, computer-generated, non-animated graphic design project.
INTERNET APPLICATIONS- Projects include web pages, web sites, chat rooms, interactive games,
bulletin boards, podcasts, and blogs.
MOBILE APPS- Develop an app that is specifically developed for a mobile device. Storyboard and
flowchart are required.
MULTIMEDIA APPLICATION- Computer-based reports or creative presentations using any
combination of sound and/or images with text.
PRODUCTIVITY DESIGN- Student created, computer-generated project that uses desktop publishing
or general productivity software. Word processing, spreadsheets, databases, or any other nonmultimedia software.
PROJECT PROGRAMMING- Self-executing programs created using recognizable programming
languages.
ROBOTICS- A working and functional piece of electro-mechanical hardware in which movement and
intent is controlled through student-created programming.
VIDEO PRODUCTION- Any original video project that has been edited on a computer with digital video
editing software and exported into a digital video format.
