The rain fell in torrents of the house with a hole in its roof. Lightning
flashed from the black clouds above. Inside the house, John was having a

nap when suddenly he felt raindrops falling on his cheek. The rain had come
in through the hole in the roof. John pulled his mattress onto the floor and
put a pail on the bed to collect the water dripping down. He then continued
his nap on the floor. The rain stopped and the sun shone brightly on the
house. John used a ladder in order to climb onto the roof to patch up the
hole. Now John can have a nap in peace without having water dripping onto
his cheek every time it rains.
