MV3 is a two part micro-channeling conduit system
designed for micro trench deployment. The conduit
contains three separated channels, which may contain
a variety of different cable, pull string or blow
tubing/innerduct types. The maximum cable/ tubing

Applications
The MV3 conduit is used for any telecom network
infrastructure deployment where the general civil
infrastructure is in place (brown field areas).

Spool Manager

Description
TeraSpans Spool Manager is a tool which enables the
handling of cable, tubing, string and tracer wire spools
on a network construction site. The spools are
supported on spool rods which rest on two lift arms.
The lift arms can raise and lower heavy spools from
the ground by turning the small hand jack. The Spool
Manager can be hitched to the VDC Manager to form
a complete and portable system for dispensing and
zipping elements into VDC conduits. Multiple Spool
Managers can be hitched together to form a train in
the event that many cables are required for a network
build.
A broad range of spool sizes can be mounted on the
unit, up to a maximum diameter of 1212mm (4).
Multiple spools can be mounted on the same spool
rod. Cone shaped bushings allow any size of centre
hole on the spool to be connected. Quick release
clamps are used to hold the spools onto the spool
rods. A smaller diameter spool rod is provided for
elements such as string and tracer wire. Both rods
can be used concurrently.
The spool manager can be collaped for shipping and
storage.

Description
TeraSpans Dust Collection System is an arrangement
of equipment designed to capture the debris from the
dry cutting process.
Applications
The Dust Collection System is used when micro
trenching in various types of hard infrastructure. This is
particularly useful in any telecom network deployment
where the general civil infrastructure is in place (brown
field areas). Its effective when cutting without water.

VDC Manager

Description
The VDC Manager automates the handling and
zipping process for TeraSpans complete line of VDC
conduits. The two conduit coils are placed into the
spool rims, then mounted onto the manager. The VDC
is fed through the zipper tool which mounts at the front
of the unit. The VDC Manager is pulled along and the
two VDC halves come together in the zipper tool with
the cable/tubing/string elements inside. The conduit is
then ready for deployment. Alternatively, in tight
areas, the unit may be stationary and the VDC can be
pulled out.
The VDC Manager can be hitched to TeraSpans
Spool Manager to fully automate the handling of
cable/tubing/string, tracer wire and VDC. The
combined system is easily managed by one person
and keeps the network construction footprint very
compact. The system can be moved through narrow
areas and is small enough to operate on a sidewalk.
Both the VDC Manager and the Spool Manager may
be mounted on a truck or a trailer for further
automation. The cart is collapsible for shipping and
storage with no tools required.
