This is a project meant for a group of TWO to THREE students. You are to design and
develop a website for promoting the educational game / game that you proposed
for the collaboration project.
Your project should be planned and developed based on the theories and concepts
of UX design learned. The website must be responsive (able to be viewed in multiple
devices) and have at least 8 web pages.
This project is divided into:
Group Project 1 Plan and Design a Responsive Website
Group Project 2 - Develop and Implement the Designed Responsive Website
PROJECT WEIGHTAGE
The weightage of the Group Project 1 is 40% of the overall marks for the course. A
project report is required here.
The weightage of Group Project 2 is 40% of the overall marks for the course. The
project will be evaluated based on the actual output of the working website as well
as on individual performance.

Please refer to Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 for report formats for Project Report and
Project Post Mortem Report respectively.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Through the project, you should be able to:
1. Define terminology, theories, concepts related to web design.
2. Create sitemaps, wireframes, and other design materials to communicate the
process involved in the planning and designing of a website development project.
3. Demonstrate skills in the process of producing a fully functional website.
4. Critically evaluate the effectiveness of interactive multimedia elements such as
information design, design interface and navigation for multimedia products for a
wide variety of market and audience.
All the folders are to be compressed into a single ZIP or RAR file with the name
Project2_<tutorial group number>_<group number>.
e.g. Project2_M2DML1_Group1.zip
There will be a Final Presentation session for each student on Week 13.
* Peers Evaluation Report is to be submitted individually to your lecturer.
MODE OF SUBMISSION
All parts of the assignment are to be submitted online through the course site at
Schoology (Login with your account) through the Submit Assignment button.

A deduction of 5 marks of the maximum mark available from the actual mark
achieved by the student is imposed each day upon expiry of the deadline.
A further deduction of 5 marks is imposed continuously each day within the 5
subsequent working days or until the 50% pass mark for the assessment has been
reached. Any time after this point, assessment will not be allocated to late

submissions but will be assigned a mark of zero and deemed to be a nonsubmission. You will be deemed to have failed the assignment if your final mark is
below the 50% pass mark after late penalty.
COMPUTATION OF LATE PENALTY
For example, where a deadline is 12am on Monday, a 5 marks penalty shall be
deducted at 12:01am on Monday, and a subsequent 5 marks shall be deducted at
12:01am on Tuesday.

Introduction
This sets the understanding of what the project is about. This part is to provide a
brief explanation on what the project is about. You should also include information
on what the redesign project should achieve once it is completed.
Things that Went Well
This part is to describe and explain at least three main things that went well in your
group project. When writing about the things that went well, you need to mention
what your group did to affect them. You need to write two paragraphs on each
subject that you mentioned.
Note:
You should focus more on the technical aspects of your project in this report.
However, I would also be interested to hear about your group dynamics. If you feel
like your group has worked very well together (e.g. you may write about that as one
of your subjects / points).
Please label the title of thing that went well or didnt go so well as subheadings.
