Office hour: MW, 10 am 12 noon or by appointment via email.
Important Points:
1. Midterm exam is scheduled for Nov 8, 2016.
2. In exams, if the highest obtained by student(s) falls below the
maximum points allowed, then the former will be considered as the
maximum allowed.
3. If any student misses more than seven classes, he/she may get an
F grade.
4. Homework will be due on the stated due date. After that, 10% will
be deducted for each day late. No assignment will be accepted after
one week from the due date.
5. Project is a group task. Each group should comprise of three
members. It should generally include the selection and application
of a suitable statistical analysis technique for a real-world problem
or case study. The report should contain the problem statement,
statistical procedure, results and discussion, in addition to satisfying
the technical report requirements. Also, attach a peer evaluation of
the contribution of each member with the report.
6. No extra credit or bonus work will be given.
7. The information and subject matter included in this syllabus is
subject to change at the discretion of the course instructor and/or
department officials. All changes will be communicated in full to the
class.
