August 2016 - We returned from a much needed summer break. We immediately started working on Christmas repertoire. We also carved out time throughout the month to do team building exercises. - We welcomed 3 new choir members to the ministry. They were impacted by the music ministry and connected with me during the summer. - Worship leader training reconvened. Now with
2 locations, I have started raising up more
worship leaders. We started in January and have made great strides. September 2016 - We successfully launched New Life North. Both campuses were covered (musicians, singers, sound, etc) - Team rotations have been successful. Due to the limited amount of space at NLN, I am only able to send smaller teams. However,
everyone is prepared to rotate and those that
have been are doing it well and with joy! - I was able to take 16 leaders from the Worship Arts department to Louisville, KY for a Worship and Leadership conference. Not only was it a great time of learning, it was a great time or connecting and fellowship. They all were challenged in multiple areas of worship, leadership, technology, communication, conflict resolution and even church expansion. I will be compiling their reports soon. October 2016 - Worship Arts will be ministering during The Summit each night and on Sunday. We also will have guest psalmist Todd Dulaney and his team with us. They will be ministering during the offering and at the pre-sermonic slot. We are excited to experience his ministry. - Worship Arts Consecration begins. Each year in the month of October, I call a dedicated consecration in the WA department. We begin on Monday, October 3rd and conclude on Thursday October 27th. They each have a detailed guide to follow each day. The consecration includes a prayer focus for that day with scripture and song. They are also instructed to do liquids only until 12:00 p.m.
and journal each day. We will break or finish
the consecration with a pizza fellowship at PEEL on the 27th. November/December 2016 We will be in HEAVY rehearsal mode as we prepare for our Christmas concert on December 9th. This year we will be featuring gospel legend, Tramaine Hawkins. We will also have a few dance elements and a 11-piece orchestra. This will be a formal style concert. Weve done other styles in the past. Now, we will formal and feature other styles of music. From spirituals to sacred and of course gospel along with Tramaines music.
