Church Van Driver Course

The Church Van Driver Course will be offered on Monday, October
24 at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. Call the Church Office to sign
up.

Office Volunteers Needed

We are in need of some volunteers to help answer the phones on
Monday mornings. If you are available and willing to help one
Monday, please call the church office and sign up for a day.

Prayer Group
There will be a prayer group meeting in the Heritage Room each
Wednesday at 5:30 PM to pray for the Pastor Search Committee.
Everyone is welcome and invited to come pray.

Chili Cook-Off
There will be a Chili Cook-Off on Wednesday, October 26th. ALL
CHILI MUST BE IN PLACE IN THE YOUTH BUILDING
BY 5:30 PM. The first place winner will receive a $25 gift card. If
you have questions, call Hugh Lanier.

Operation Christmas Child

Saints Alive
The Senior Adult Choir Festival was held in Toccoa on October 6-7,
and we had 21 in attendance. We practiced several new songs, three
of which we will share in our Christmas program on December 4th.
We were blessed to have Steve Brown direct the combined choirs,
with Andy Daughtry as accompanist. L. C. Lane entertained us with
his musical talent, and John Bryan did a heartfelt devotion. It was a
time of spiritual renewal as well as a time of bonding with not only
our choir members but with seniors from other choirs.
Please note that the Saints Alive Choir will be meeting at 11:00 AM
on Mondays beginning this coming Monday. Join us then.

There is a choir for all ages (ages 4 & up)

Trunk or Treat October 26 7 pm

We have 18 games, rides or trunks for our Trunk or Treat and I
cannot be more excited! There are more trunks than ever before
with the expressed purpose to place Scripture into the hands of
each child that attends. Our hayride will have the Gospel
message presented. Please cover this event in prayer. I cannot
wait to see what God is going to do!
We will have popcorn, candy, bouncy houses, hay rides, train ride
for the littles, and games. We are also hosting a photo booth for
families. Costumes are welcome, but no scary ones, please.
Also, please invite friends, neighbors, grandkids and family to
attend this year. It is going to be a blast! And don't forget to drop
off your candy. We still need a few more bags to help all those
who are hosting a trunk.
RAs, GAs, Mission Friends Wednesdays @ 7 pm
There will be no regular mission activities on Wednesday,
October 26, due to the Trunk or Treat. We will see you again on
Wednesday, November 2.

Discipleship Training Opportunities

Please call church office to sign up
Growing Kids Gods Way comprehensive Bible Study on learning
how the Bible teaches to raise children. Insightful DVDs with
core values rooted in Biblical teaching. Course will be co-led
by Mimi and Farish Mulkey and Ginger and Bo Jones. Will be
taught on Sunday nights to coincide with Youth and Childrens
activities.
Marriage Bible Study facilitated by Sandra and Ray Harrell. Will
try to set time around the group that signs up. Will have DVD
led curriculum facilitated by veterans in Christian marriage.

Family Fun Night- Christmas Crafts Friday, December 2 6:30

I have tickets to the Casting Crowns concert in

Tallahassee on Sunday November 13th. Tickets
are $30 and the number is limited. Contact me by
phone or email if you are interested in obtaining
some of these tickets.
This week we will be taking sign ups for a
number of opportunities coming up. We will be
taking a day to ring the bell for the Salvation
Army at a local store and we also have the
opportunity to decorate the public library again.
Our students always to a great job helping get the
library ready for the Christmas season. So come
prepared this week to take part in these service
opportunities coming this Christmas season.
Be sure to sign up for one of our winter retreats.
Our middle school students attend MOVE,
December 29-30 and our high school students
attend Strength to Stand, January 14-16.
