2016 Family Camp Games

A. 3 Parts of the Game


1. Self awareness (1st Part) Know-Yourself Games
Need to know yourself to realize your value as part of Christ's Church
Clue: 2-3 games
DAY 1 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM
a. Banner Making Contest 15 MINUTES
MECHANICS:
1. Create a banner that will represent your group.
MATERIALS:
1) Woven Cloth (Katsa)
2) 4 Sticks (Bamboo / c/o Melody)
3) Twine String (Pisi)
4) 4 Black Pentel Pens
5) 4 Water Color Paints
6) 4 Colors of Crepe Papers (wrap around the stick for identity)
b. Group Cheer Competition 10 MINUTES
MECHANICS:
1) Create a cheer (words with dance or actions) that will energize your
group, minimum of 10 seconds and maximum of 30 seconds.
c. Building Up One Another (No Points)
20 MINUTES

To facilitate getting to know self and another person on a fairly intimate


level.

MECHANICS:
1) Form a group with 7 members only (85 campers / 7 = 12 groups).
2) Everyone will respond to the given statement.
3) The statements are to be completed in the order in which they appear.
Dont skip items.
MATERIALS:
1) Paper with all the printed instructions or statements (1 piece of paper
per statement)

other up, just as in fact you are doing.

NOTE:
1) Flux separate group
2) Elders and Deacons will facilitate the 12 groups
d. Create that Emotion! (Emotion Game) 20 Minutes
MECHANICS: Form a group with 10 members only. Create the emotions
using the strips of crepe papers.
1) Angry
2) Sad
3) Excited
4) Frightened
5) Ashamed
6) Worried
7) Accepted
8) Rejected
MATERIAL:
1) Different colors of crepe papers.
2) 4 White Cartolina
3) Print Out with 10 Emotion words
4) 4 Scotch tapes
5) Smiley sticker

REFLECTION:
1) How are our emotions similar? How are they different?
2) How do these emotions draw us close together? And push us apart?
3) What would it be like if the leaders and members are all ashamed to
serve or share the gospel?
4) What would happen if all of us are happy during the difficult time of one
of our brethren?
e. Caterpillar Traverse (OUTDOOR) 15 MINUTES
MECHANICS:
7 players
1) Form 4 groups with 2 sets of players (9 players each).
2) Each players right foot is tied to the left foot of the next player.
3) Each set of players should be tied together on their ankles. 3
representatives from each team will each sit on a chair.
4) The chairs will be placed in the middle of the lane.
5) Each team will start and walk through the chair and make their way
back to the starting line.
6) The first team with both groups to reach the starting line, wins.
MATERIAL:
1) Straw- string
2) 9 chairs

Part of the Team Ministry


You need to realize that your strength (and/or weaknesses) is needed by your
team (or ministry) to win.
Clue: Team games
f) Go Between 10 MINUTES
MECHANICS:
1) Form 10 players for each group.
2) Each player will be assigned a player number.
3) Stand in line, holding hands.
4) Follow instructions.
5) Example: Number 2 and 3 go between 6 and 7, then number 1 go
between 9 and 10.
6) The last team that can follow instructions without letting go of the
hands, wins.
MATERIALS:

None
REFLECTION:
1) This game will help us understand how ones weakness or sin if
hinayaan mong hawaan ang kapatiran mo, will sicken or dispirit the
whole church? Going with the flow, not realizing tama ka nab a or
negative influence ka na. For example if you are a closefisted kind of a
members, at mag produce ng maraming closefisted members, how
would it affect the church? Many times our weak will or sin keeps us
from following God as we should. Perhaps you have experience you
became so angry and everyone else suffered as a result.
g) Time to Eat 10 MINUTES
MECHANICS:
1) Form 4 groups of 12. New players.
2) Stand in line, first person hold the NIV Bible.
3) Determine if the name on the flash card is a female, male or a thing or
place.
4) The spoon represents female. The fork represents male. And the knife
represents place or thing.
5) The last person in line will race to the front to pick up the right utensil.
6) First right answer gets 1 point.
7) Best of 12.
MATERIALS:
1) Big Wooden/Plastic Spoon
2) Big Wooden/Plastic Fork
3) Big Wooden/Plastic Knife
4) 4 NIV Bibles
h) Act it Out 10 MINUTES
MECHANICS:
1) Group of 12 players in each 4 groups.
2) First player in front will hold the NIV Bible.
3) Instructions will be given, let us say, 5th word Old Testament, 2nd book,
15th chapter.
4) Example the word is Dance. The first person will look for the word
and whisper the answer to the next player.
5) The last player will run to the front to act out the word.
6) The first person who does it correctly gets 1 point.
MATERIALS:
1) 4 NIV Bibles
i) Sticky Situation 20 MINUTES
MECHANICS:
1) Place the bread on the platform, 10 from the foul line.

2) When the clock starts, player may begin to bounce 1 ping-pong ball at a time,
then sticks it at the piece of bread with glue.
3) If the player bounces 2 ping-pong balls at the same time, those ping-pong
balls are void.
4) If the player crosses the foul line during an attempt, that attempt is void.

MATERIALS:
1) Piece of Bread Covered in Peanut Butter
2) Ping Pong Balls

2. Part of Christs Church


Here, we need to insert one big activity but all team should work as one.
Team/groupings is dissolve in this one activity for all to realize that his
strength as individual and his contribution to the team (or ministry) is crucial
on how we embodied as Christ's church.
Clue: One final activity for all
a. The Rooted Tree / The Tree that is Rooted ?
MECHANICS:
Tree
All will; contribute to make the tree stand and fully grown i.e roots, leaves,
fruits, branches, trunk. The root and the trunk maybe made by all the
leaders. All else maybe done by members.
Church Building
You can use wood blocks or sticks but the rule is that once you put your
block, touch-move na.
Be careful not to make the structure fall. so everytime a single person add
his block to the structure he need to think how it will add to the strength
and not to make it collapse.
MATERIAL:
1) Tree :
a) Paper
b) Leaves
c) Roots
d) Fruits (optional)
2) Church Building
a) Blocks
b) Roof
REFLECTION:
1) The tree is the symbol that if everyone is rooted in Christ then the
spiritual growth of all will be fully grown and would give back all the
glory to God through the fruits.
