Overview
Timing of all transport streams is generated by
the 27 MHz System Time Clock in the
encoder.
MPEG transport streams have become the de
facto video media transport via IP. However,
many IP transport streams are asynchronous,
which makes them prone to jitter when they are
sent to PCR compliant devices. The Jitter Box
IP/IP corrects PCR from non PCR standard IP
stream formats like HLS or RTMP. If your IP
streams are not PCR timing compliant, the
Jitter Box IP/IP will fix the PCR timing in
those streams to make them compliant.
PCR timing compliant transport streams are
essential for streaming transport streams to
sensitive devices such as modulators, muxers,
decoders, and encapsulators.
This product "came to be" since DVEO
equipment has had to interoperate with
Harmonic, Ericsson, Cisco, and Arris
equipment. We had to develop world class
techniques to survive.
