Greetings!
Pursuant to Republic Act No. 7165, an act creating the Literacy Coordinating Council
under its mandate has formulated the National Blueprint for Action in the Eradication of
Illiteracy which recommends the creation of Project Implementing Units in the Local
Government Unit is tasked with the actual implementation of the program and projects.
The National Validators Team from Manila will arrive on August 23, 2016 for the search
of Outstanding Local Government Units, Highly Urbanized City category.
In this regard as part of our preparation, we would like to request for the issuance of an
Executive Order creating the city Literacy Implementing Unit of Butuan City and an
order directing all the Chiefs of Staff to submit a 3 year accomplishment report to the
City Population Office.
We attached herewith the drafts of the foregoing request.
