ATTENDANCE and

In the unfortunate event that a class is missed, it is the students

responsibility to notify the instructor and group members and to catch
up on missed material.
Be on time to all lectures. As this is a professional course, you are
expected to demonstrate a professional work ethic and attitude.
Students are expected to have read material in the assigned

An online LearnSmart assignment is available to assist with

online Learnsmart quizzes.
Weekly homework assignments are to be completed on
Connect by the dates noted on Connect. No late assignments will
be accepted and there will be no make-ups.
There are no make-up exams. If you miss an exam, you will receive a
grade of zero. Please note the dates so you can schedule your
personal commitments around these dates.
NOTE: Medical excuses must be presented personally to the instructor
and include documentation prepared by a doctor that clearly states
that the student was too ill to function reasonably on the date of the
examination. The University reserves the right to contact the
physicians office, not to discuss confidential specifics, but to verify
that the note is legitimate. In this situation, contact the instructor as
soon as possible, so that an alternative can be arranged promptly.
Use of e-texts, laptops and calculators are encouraged for inclass work.
