1 About this Document

This Master Guide is the central starting point for the technical implementation
of the technology platform SAP NetWeaver 7.4 including the Support Releases 1 (
SR1) and 2 (SR2). It provides you with information about the use cases as well a
s the installable product instances, and refers you to the detailed documentatio
n (such as the Installation Guides).Caution
The Master Guide is regularly updated on SAP Service Marketplace. Make sure that

Releases and Support Packages
If you install SAP NetWeaver 7.4 with Support Release 2, you install automatical
ly the previously available support packages 1 to 8 at once, and your system goe
s immediately to 7.4 SP8 without needing to implement the intervening SPs separa
tely.
SAP NetWeaver 7.4 with Support Release 1 includes the support packages 1 to 5. I
f you perform an update with target release NW 7.4 SR1, your system goes immedia
tely to 7.4 SP5.Constraints
