1. Starter(10mins):. A small activity or game for them to know what is actually

setting up a business?

You can be creative here to give them any situation as per your class. - This is just a situation given.
List the kinds of business you think is good to set up in UAE?
Then you can ask them to plans to set up. May be you can ask them to keep in mind they are to set
up in UAE- in any emirates. So based on that they can follow the set up.
2. Teaching and learning activities:
2a. Development (20mins):

The plan for the business chosen is ready. The Form tutor need to guide them
how they can set up their chosen business using the following skills- Flexibility,
adaptability, Good organizational skills.
Any entrepreneur who makes it through the first stage usually begins to draw
up a plan of a proposed business venture. In your spare time, you will
fantasize, scheme and plot.
You will imagine yourself being at the helm of affairs. You will begin to analyze
the possibilities of going ahead with your business idea; once you have drawn
a business plan, know that youve just completed the phase two of the
entrepreneurial process. Thats why this third phase is all about making
mistakes and learning. Even if no one wants to invest in your idea, keep
learning and improving on your plan. You might make a couple of mistakes but
dont quit. If you can boldly forge ahead despite disappointments, you will
move on to the next phase of the process.
Now they will have to really look into many aspects on how to plan for a successful business.
HOW TO CREATE A BLUEPRINT FOR YOUR START-UP.

Your blue Print of business plan needs to consider the 4 Ms refer the link provided.

You can also make the groups to make a business Plan checklist which includes1. Executive summary- key points, target market, forecast, key dates.
2. Identify opportunities- unique selling points, vision and mission of business.
3. Market research- online customers, competitions, trends.
4. Marketing and Sales- tips to create a full business strategy.
5. Your Team- Job description, details.
6. Financial Forecast- cash flow, Profit & Loss statements forecast.
7. Implementation of the plan dates etc.

Kindly ask the students to come out with their innovative ideas. You can allow them to
research for details as per their chosen business plan. It should be a continuation of the
topic started last week.

Each group will create their step by step plan necessary for their
business.
Thinking together Skills:
Giving reasons, sharing of ideas, thinking of alternatives and
reaching agreement.
Each group will come with their valuable points. The teacher can assign a president, a scribe
etc. to summarize.

A questionnaire can be provided to some students who find difficulty in this kind of activity.

2. Plenary (10min): The students are given a post it, they pick out the best points of the research and
share it in their group. Teachers to ensure that they collect the post it and paste it in A3 size paper
and laminate.
-All evidences to be given to the HOYS (including photographs) Teacher moves around in the class
to ensure that each group has researched and has the needed information so that they are ready
for the next day.
