development. He has been involved in successful

located on the fringe of Aucklands CBD. Charles
has assembled a formidable team of internationally
recognised property development specialists to
bring his vision for Auranga to life.
Steve Thorne
Master Planner
Steve is renowned for his work in
sustainable urban design. He has
held various senior government
positions including Director of Design for the
Victorian State Government and Principal Urban
Designer at the City of Melbourne. Steve has
worked on projects in Rome, Prague, China,
Oman, Australia and New Zealand and sits on a
number of professional review panels. He has led
an urban design training programme for the
NZ Ministry of Environment.
Gregor Millson
Independent Chair
Greg is a private developer who over the past
25 years, has been involved in numerous large
retail, residential, residential subdivisions,
industrial and resort projects, mainly on the east
coast of Australia and in Montana (USA). Greg is
the founding director for Mainbrace Constructions
one of Australias leading retail design and
construction firms.

Michael Cullen
Town Centre Planner
Mike is one of Australasias experts
in town centre design and planning
with over 25 years experience and
regularly sits on Urban Design Panels for state and
local government agencies. He has worked on
town centre strategies for Massey North, Flatbush,
Frankton, Newmarket, Blenheim, Nelson and
Hastings as well as the Tamaki Transformation project
and the Christchurch Urban Development Strategy.
Mike Scott
Marketing Advisory
Mike has more than 35 years
experience in the housing and
development industry. He is the
managing director at The Treadstone Company
and the chairman of the HomeWorld Board.
HomeWorld has 210 homes on display from
over 43 different builders and has welcomed
more than one million Sydney homebuyers to
its display villages.
Martin Udale
Strategic Planning
Martin has more than 30 years
experience in Australasia and the
UK, specifically in commercial and
residential property development. He specialises
in strategic advisory services and served on many
design groups, including the Auckland mayoral
taskforce on urban design, Tamaki transformation
programme, Property Council committees, NZ
government taskforce on urban intensification
and the NZ government sustainable urban
development unit working group.

Clayton McKenzie
Project Engineer
Clayton McKenzie heads
McKenzie & Co Consultants Ltd.
His team specialise in all aspects
of development projects from procurement
through to the delivery of medium to large
scale development projects, providing practical,
achievable and attractive solutions. These include
current developments Queenstown, Botany and
Flat Bush.
Ian Munro
Urban Planner
Ian is a senior urban planner and
urban designer with extensive
professional and academic
qualifications and resource management
experience. Ian is one of the Chairs of the
Auckland Council Urban Design Panel responsible
for guiding the design of Auckland. As an urban
planner and urban designer Ian has worked in all
of New Zealands major centres.
Darren Brady
Head of Sales
Darren has 32 years of Real
Estate experience in Australasia;
as Aurangas real estate partner
he is initially responsible for procuring land for
the development. Darren has been a principal
of Southern Suburbs Realty Limited trading as
Harveys Papakura for the last four years. He has
established a team of 25 professionals and year on
year, has achieved the status of top five branch
within LJ Hooker/Harveys New Zealand.

Peter Cotton
Finance
Peter has over 25 years banking
experience. He is a fully qualified
Quantity Surveyor, who moved into
banking after managing ASB Properties capital
budget and assisting with the construction of the
ASB Bank Centre in Auckland. Peter has funded
numerous successful businesses, investments
and property developments including land
subdivisions, commercial/industrial, luxury homes,
terraced town-houses and multi-story apartment
buildings.
John Gundesen
Marketing
John is an experienced marketing
professional who has extensive
experience in the property
development arena. John has been intricately
involved in developing New Zealands largest
waterfront urban development in downtown
Auckland Wynyard Quarter. He has also been
responsible for numerous branding, marketing
collateral and placemaking strategies for large
scale developments including Highbrook
Business park.
Gillian Taylor
Business Services
Gillian has over 30 years
experience in executive, consulting
and advisory roles. She is a
strategist and leading specialist in facilitating
strategic partnerships and collaborative
stakeholder relationships. She has a strong
track record of success, having worked with
many of NZs large infrastructure asset owners
and construction firms on both projects and
long term service relationships.
