IwassurprisedtofindthatMattFinchesSwordsandWizardry
randomtreasuregenerationtobeverystingy.AnsolitaryAdultRed
DragonwithaCR15isgoingtohaveatreasurehordeworthbetween4,600gpto9,600gp.Accordingtothe
SwordandWizardrytreasurerulesthiswillonaverageresultin1rollonthemajortreasuretradeout,5to9
rollsonthemediumtreasuretradeoutand46to96rollsontheminortreasuretradeout.

Thereonlya10%chanceofgettingatradeoutoverthecashvalue.Whenyoudorollatradeoutthereonlya1
in20chanceofrollingmagicitems.Thismeansonly1in200dragonhoardswillhaveamajormagicitem.
Roughly1in30dragonhoardswillhaveamediummagicitem.Andfinallyroughly1in3evenhavinga
minormagicitemlikeahealingpotion.

IrealizeIsoundcritical,butIdoknowthatformanyrefereeanextremelylownumberofmagicitemsiswhat
theypreferforthiscampaign.HoweverthisdoesnotfithowIbeenrunningmyMajesticWilderlandsforthe

itemsarenotplentifulineitherbuttheydoappearabout20%oftimewiththetypeofitemappropriatetothe
powerofthecreature.

adjustingtheoddsinNbos'sInspirationPadPrountilitproductwhatIexpectedovera100,andeven1,000
rolls.
