To increase the number of sites in the existing TeleGSM network (3,000 sites) to increase the customer
base and enhance company revenues. The sites have been planned to cover all parts of Pakistan.

4.1.

Business Need / Problem

The Business Need / Problem is an issue or opportunity pertaining to the business which needs to be resolved / acted

Revenue enhancement by increasing the existing customer base

Business Objectives

5. Project Overview
5.1.

Project Description

Describe the project focus, approach, customer(s), and the boundary limits of the project.

Acquiring, Constructing, Installation, Commissioning and Switching on 3,000 sites within a period of 18
months (2010-2011) by using Project Management Methodology and consuming USD 600 Million to
increase the customer base by 10 Million customers and by providing state-of-the-art services in the
presently uncovered areas of Pakistan.

TeleGSM intends to expand its network within 18 months (2010-2011) by adding 3000 sites with
cooperation from Huawei, a Chinese Telecommunication vendor throughout Pakistan to increase its
market share and increasing the customer base.
