Most Common Questions on Christianity?

1. The Christians concept of God is the Trinity i.e. The Father, The Son and The
Holy Ghost, but these three are One. We Christians believe in one God, Who
is a True God.
2. The concept of "Trinity" can be explained by giving the example that water
can be present in three states, i.e. as solid e.g. ice, as liquid e.g. water and
gas e.g. vapour, yet it is one and the same water.
3. A person can also be a father, a brother and a businessman at the same time,
but yet, he is one and the same person. Then why cannot God be "one in
three" i.e. God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost?
4. The Original Sin done by Adam was inherited by all of mankind. Hence all of
mankind is born in sin. Is this correct?
5. Is it not true that Jesus Christ died for the sins of mankind on the Cross. If a

1. TRINITY
Question:
The Christians concept of God is the Trinity i.e. The Father, The Son and The Holy
Ghost, but these three are One. We Christians believe in one God, Who is a True
God.

Answer:

1.

The word Trinity is mentioned in the Quran

The word "Trinity is mentioned in the Glorious Quran in the following places:
a. Allah says in the Quran in Surah An-Nisaa 4: 171
"Say not Trinity: desist:It will be better for you for Allah is one God."
b. A similar message is repeated in Surah Maidah 5: 73

"They do blaspheme who say Allah is one of three In a Trinity: for there is
No god except One God.If they desist not From their word (of blasphemy),
Verily a grievous penalty Will befall the blasphemers Among them."

2. Three is not equal to one!

a. According to the Catechism of the Christian Church, "The Father is a person, the
Son is a person, and the Holy Ghost is a person; but they are not three persons but
one person." Person, person, person but not 3 persons but 1 person! What
language is this? 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 and not 1. 1 x 3 = 3 and not 1. What makes a
person different than the other person? It is his personality.
b.
If we have three identical triplets and one of them commits murder, should
we hang the other two? The answer is No, because he is a different person having
a different personality.
c.
When the Christians speak about the Father in Heaven they have a certain
mental picture in mind, of an elderly man some what like Santa Claus sitting on one
of the planets with the earth as his foot stool. When they speak about the son, they
Islamic Information Center

have a certain mental picture in their mind. A tall handsome man, who has a beard
and long hair; somewhat like Jeffery Hunter who did the role of Jesus in the film
King of Kings. When they speak about the Holy Ghost they have a certain mental
picture in mind like that of a dove that came upon Jesus when he was baptised
or like a spirit at the feast of Pentecost. If we ask the Christians "How many mental
pictures do you have when you speak about Trinity?" they say "We have only one
picture". They lie when they say this, for 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 and not 1.

3. The Baby God

Christians insist that Jesus is the son of God, yet he and God are one and the same.
But consider this, Cows have calves, little cows
Cats have kittens, little cats
Humans have childrens, little humans
When God has a son, what is he? A little God? If so you have two Gods.

4. Distinguish between God and Jesus

We ask Christians, When Jesus prayed, to whom did he pray? Himself?
When Jesus was resurrected as per your beliefs, where is he now? Sitting on the the
right side of God? If so, how could he be God?

5. Clearly Contradicts with the concept of one God

This belief is in clear contradiction with The Concept one one God which is present
is every human soul. If there are more than one God then, How can we say that
God is Perfect and free of all needs? Because then he was in need of another God

6. The closest verse regarding "Trinity" in the Bible, has now been
thrown out of the Bible
The verse in the Bible which is closest to "Trinity" and is often quoted by Christian
missionaries is the first Epistle of John, chapter 5 verse no 7 "For there are three
that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost; and these
three are one."
In the Revised Standard Version of the Bible (R.S.V.) revised by 32 Christian
scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 different co-operating
denominations, this verse which is the keystone of the Christian faith has been
removed as an interpolation, as a fabrication and as a concoction. It has not been
expunged from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible by the Muslims or by nonChristian scholars, but by 32 Christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by
50 different cooperating denominations as an interpolation, as a concoction and as
a fabrication because this verse does not exist in the original manuscript.

2. TRINITY WATER IN THREE STATES

Question
The concept of "Trinity" can be explained by giving the example that water can be
present in three states, i.e. as solid e.g. ice, as liquid e.g. water and gas e.g.
vapour, yet it is one and the same water.
Answer
I agree that water can be present in three states, that is solid, liquid and gas, as
ice, water and vapour but in all three states the matter is the same i.e. H2O and
contains two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. The material and
components are the same although the form of the matter differs. Water remains
H2O in the solid form i.e. ice. It remains H2O in the form of gas i.e. vapour.
However, in case of Trinity, besides the form changing even the components and
material themselves change. The Father is God and Jesus is man, and the Holy
Ghost is a spirit and all three are not made up of the same matter or component.
Man contains flesh and bones, whereas God and spirit do not contain flesh and
bones. Man requires to eat, etc., whereas God does not require to eat. No wonder
Jesus says in the last supper, in the upper room mentioned in the Gospel of
Luke 24:39 - 43
"Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit
hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."
And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye
here any meat?
And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, and of an honeycomb."
And he took it, and did eat before them.

3. TRINITY FATHER, BROTHER AND BUSINESSMAN

Question
A person can also be a father, a brother and a businessman at the same time, but
yet, he is one and the same person. Then why cannot God be "one in three" i.e.
God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost?
Answer
The same person can be a father, a brother and a businessman at the same time.
a. But suppose the sister of that man tells him a secret, it is but natural that the
father and the businessman also will know about it. Contrary to this, Jesus has
said in the Bible, in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 13 verse 32
"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in
heaven, neither the Son, but the Father."
Here the knowledge of the hour is only known to the Father and not to the Son,
indicating that God and Jesus Christ are not one and the same person.
b.
A human being can be a father, a brother, and a businessman at the same
time, but if the brother dies, even the father and the businessman will die. Thus,
when the Christians say that Jesus died on the cross they will have to agree that
God and the Holy Spirit also died.

4. ORIGINAL SIN
Question
The Original Sin done by Adam was inherited by all of mankind. Hence all of
mankind is born in sin. Is this correct?
Answer:

1. The Doctrine of Original Sin

In present day Christianity we find the doctrine of Original sin. According to this
doctrine the sin committed by Adam and Eve has been inherited by all of mankind
and hence all of mankind is born in sin.

2. The example of the son of a murderer

If we are told about a judge who put the son of a murderer to death for the guilt of
his father what will we call such a judge? Fair or unfair? Just or Unjust?
Surely any person who has slightest bit of justice in him will call him unfair and
unjust.

3. God is Just
Surely God almighty is more just than the best of us.
Allah says in the Quran in Surah Nisaa 4:40
Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight
Is the doctrine of Original sin just. How can we be held responsible for what Adam
did? Would God do such grave injustice to mankind?

4. Sin is not inherited

Allah says in the Quran in Surah Anaam 6:164

"No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only): no bearer of burdens can
bear the burden of another."
Allah says in the Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:286

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the
consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of]
what [evil] it has earned.

5. Every child is born innocent

The truth is that every human baby is born pure and innocent. He is born with a
clean record and a fair chance of either becoming a good or a bad person. Prophet
Muhammed
said
"No child is born except on Al-Fitra (Islam) and then his parents make him Jewish,
Christian or Magian, as an animal produces a perfect young animal: do you see any
part of its body amputated?" [Sahih Bukhari 6:298]

6. The Bible blames only Eve

Genesis 3: 12 And the man (Adam) said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with
me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy
conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy
husband, and he shall rule over thee.

7. According to Islam Adam and Eve repented and were forgiven

According to Islam Adam and Eve both were responsible for committing the sin,
they both repented and Allah forgave them their sin. Allah says in the Quran 2:37
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance.
Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

8. Do not despair of the Mercy of Allah

Islam teaches that a person should not despair from the Mercy of Allah and that
Allah is ready to forgive all sins to those who are sincerely repentant.
Allah says in the Quran in Surah az Zumar 39:53

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do
not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He
who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

9. You decide
Now it is for you to come to the conclusion whether you want to believe in a God
who is unjust and unfair in making all of mankind inherit the sin done by one man,
a God who is biased towards one gender, harsh and merciless and lacks the
magnanimity to forgive human beings as presented by the Bible. Or do you believe
in a God who is fair and just and does not let some men inherit the sin of others. A
God who is Merciful, Kind and ready to forgive those who turn towards him. A God
who made Adam an example for all of mankind to know that He is ready to forgive
the repentant.

5. DID JESUS DIE FOR THE SINS OF MANKIND

Question
Is it not true that Jesus Christ died for the sins of mankind on the Cross. If a person
does not believe in this he will never attain salvation.
Answer:

1. The Doctrine of Atonement

According to present day Christianity, God loved the world so much that in order to
save mankind from the original sin and from the burden of their continuous sins
God sacrificed his only begotten son Jesus on the cross. Jesus suffered
immensely on the Cross during his crucifixion and carried the burden of the sins of
mankind. Whoever believes that Jesus died for his sins will be saved. But if
someone does not believe then how many so ever his own good deeds he will not
attain salvation.

2. God is Just
God is Just, and justice requires that nobody should be punished for the sins of
others, nor should some people be saved by punishing other people. Doesnt the
claim that God sacrificed Jesus to save us because He was Just, contradict the
definition of justice?

3. Examples for better understanding

1. Will the judge put his own son to death for the murder committed by a Criminal?
2. If your tenant stops paying you rent, what will you do. You will adopt suitable
course of action against him like eviction, Police complaint etc. Will you start beating
your own child for the sin of the tenant!? It is highly unimaginable to assume that
an innocent person (Jesus ) was killed FOR the sins of others!

4. Other Questions arising from this doctrine

1. If God had wanted to save us, couldnt He have done that without sacrificing
Jesus?
2. What is the use of doing good and avoiding bad when salvation does not depend
on it? What is the motivation for doing good and avoiding bad if salvation does not
depend on it.
3. After the Crucifixion of Jesus did the worth change. Has evil ceased to exist?

5. But.. Jesus did not die

7. QURAN COPIED FROM THE BIBLE

Question
Is it not true that Prophet Muhammad has copied the Quran from the Bible?
Answer
Many critics allege that Prophet Muhummad himself was not the author of the
Quran but he learnt it and/or plagiarised (copied or adapted) it from other human
sources or from previous scriptures or revelations.

1. False Allegations
a. MUHUMMAD LEARNT THE QURAN FROM A ROMAN BLACKSMITH WHO
WAS A CHRISTIAN
Some Pagans accused the Prophet of learning the Quran from a Roman Blacksmith,
who was a Christian staying at the outskirts of Makkah. The Prophet very often used
to go and watch him do his work. A revelation of the Quran was sufficient to
dismiss this charge
Allah says in the Quran in Surah An-Nahl chapter 16: 103
"We know indeed that they say, It is a man that teaches him, The tongue of him
they wickedly point to is notably foreign, while this is Arabic, pure and clear."
How could a person whose mother tongue was foreign and could hardly speak little
but of poor broken Arabic be the source of the Quran which is pure, eloquent, fine
Arabic? To believe that the blacksmith taught the Prophet the Quran is some what
similar to believing that a Chinese immigrant to England, who did not know proper
English, taught Shakespeare.

b. MUHUMMAD LEARNT FROM WARAQA - THE RELATIVE OF KHADIJAH

Muhummads contacts with the Jewish and Christian Scholars were very limited.
The most prominent Christian known to him was an old blind man called Waraqa
ibn-Naufal who was a relative of the Prophets first wife Khadijah . Although of
Arab descent, he was a convert to Christianity and was very well versed with the
New Testament. The Prophet only met him twice, first when Waraqa was
Islamic Information Center

Most Common Questions asked by Christians

worshipping at the Kaaba (before the Prophetic Mission) and he kissed the Prophets
forehead affectionately; the second occasion was when the Prophet went to meet
Waraqa after receiving the first revelation. Waraqa died three years later and the
revelation continued for about 23 years. It is ridiculous to assume that Waraqa was
the source of the contents of the Quran.

c. PROPHETS RELIGIOUS DISCUSSIONS WITH THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS

It is true that the Prophet did have religious discussions with the Jews and
Christians but they took place in Madinah more than 13 years after the revelation of
the Quran had started. The allegation that these Jews and Christians were the
source is perverse, since in these discussions Prophet Muhammad was performing
the roles of a teacher and of a preacher while inviting them to embrace Islam and
pointing out that they had deviated from their true teachings of Monotheism.
Several of these Jews and Christians later embraced Islam.

d. THE PROPHET LEARNT THE QURAN FROM THOSE JEWS AND

CHRISTIANS THAT HE MET OUTSIDE ARABIA
All historical records available show that Muhummad had made only three trips
outside Makkah before his Prophethood:
At the age of 9 he accompanied his mother to Madinah.
Between the age of 9 and 12, he accompanied his uncle Abu-Talib on a business
trip to Syria. At the age of 25 he led Khadijas Caravan to Syria.
It is highly imaginary to assume that the Quran resulted from the occasional chats
and meetings with the Christians or Jews from any of the above three trips.

2. LOGICAL GROUNDS TO PROVE THAT THE PROPHET DID NOT

LEARN THE QURAN FROM JEWS OR CHRISTIANS
The day-to-day life of the Prophet was an open book for all to see. In fact a
revelation came asking people to give the Prophet privacy in his own home. If the
Prophet had been meeting people who told him what to say as a revelation from
God, this would not have been hidden for very long.
The extremely prominent Quraish nobles who followed the Prophet and accepted
Islam were wise and intelligent men who would have easily noticed anything
suspicious about the way in which the Prophet brought the revelations to them more so since the Prophetic mission lasted 23 years.
Islamic Information Center

Page - 13 -

Most Common Questions asked by Christians

Dawah Training Program

The enemies of the Prophet kept a close watch on him in order to find proof for
their claim that he was a liar - they could not point out even a single instance when
the Prophet may have had a secret rendezvous with particular Jews and Christians.
It is inconceivable that any human author of the Quran would have accepted a
situation in which he received no credit whatsoever for originating the Quran.
Thus, historically and logically it cannot be established that there was a human
source for the Quran.

3. MUHUMMAD DID NOT KNOW HOW TO READ

The theory that Muhummad authored the Quran or copied from other sources
can be disproved by the single historical fact that he was illiterate.
Allah testifies Himself in the Quran
In Surah Al-Ankabut chapter no.29 verse 48
"And thou was not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou
(able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: in that case, indeed, would the talkers of
vanities have doubted."
Allah knew that many would doubt the authenticity of the Quran and would ascribe
it to Prophet Muhummad . Therefore Allah in His Divine Wisdom chose the last
and final Messenger to be an Ummi, i.e. unlettered, so that the talkers of vanity
would not then have the slightest justification to doubt the Prophet. The accusation
of his enemies that he had copied the Quran from other sources and rehashed it all
in a beautiful language might have carried some weight, but even this flimsy
pretence has been deprived to the unbeliever and the cynic.
Allah reconfirms in the Quran in Surah Al Araf chapter 7 verse 157:

"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find
mentioned in their own (Scriptures) in the Law and the Gospel"
The prophecy of coming of the unlettered Prophet is also mentioned in the Bible
in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12.
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned."
The Quran testifies in no less than four different places that the Prophet was

illiterate. It is also mentioned in Surah Araf chapter 7 verse 158 and in Surah AlJumua chapter 62 verse 2.

4. SIMILARITIES IN THE QURAN AND THE BIBLE DUE TO COMMON

SOURCE
Similarities between the Quran and the Bible does not necessarily mean that the
former has been copied from the latter. In fact it gives evidence that both of them
are based on a common third source; all divine revelations came from the same
source - the one universal God. No matter what human changes were introduced
into some of these Judeo-Christian and other older religious scriptures that had
distorted their originality, there are some areas that have remained free from
distortion and thus are common to many religions.
It is true that there are some similar parallels between the Quran and the Bible but
this is not sufficient to accuse Muhummad of compiling or copying from the Bible.
The same logic would then also be applicable to teachings of Christianity and
Judaism and thus one could wrongly claim that Jesus was not a genuine Prophet
(God forbid) and that he simply copied from the Old Testament.
The similarities between the two signify a common source that is one true God and
the continuation of the basic message of monotheism and not that the later
prophets have plagiarised from the previous prophets.
If someone copies during an examination he will surely not write in the answer
sheet that he has copied from his neighbour or Mr. XYZ. Prophet Muhummad
gave due respect and credit to all the previous prophets (). The Quran also
mentions the various revelations given by Almighty God to different prophets.

5. MUSLIMS BELIEVE IN THE TAURAH, ZABOOR, INJEEL AND QURAN

Four revelations of Allah (swt) are mentioned by name in the Quran: the Taurah,
the Zaboor, the Injeel and the Quran.
Taurah, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Moosa i.e. Moses .
Zaboor, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Dawood i.e. David .
Injeel, the revelation i.e. the Wahi given to Isa ie. Jesus .
Al-Quran, the last and final Wahi i.e. revelation given to the last and final
Messenger Muhammad .
It is an article of faith for every Muslim to believe in all the Prophets of God and all
revelations of God. However, the present day Bible has the first five books of the
Old Testament attributed to Moses and the Psalms attributed to David. Moreover
Islamic Information Center

Most Common Questions asked by Christians

the New Testament or the four Gospels of the New Testament are not the Taurah,
the Zaboor or the Injeel, which the Quran refers to. These books of the present day
Bible may partly contain the word of God but these books are certainly not the
exact, accurate and complete revelations given to the prophets.
The Quran presents all the different prophets of Allah as belonging to one single
brotherhood; all had a similar prophetic mission and the same basic message.
Because of this, the fundamental teachings of the major faiths cannot be
contradictory, even if there has been a considerable passage of time between the
different prophetic missions, because the source of these missions was one:
Almighty God, Allah. This is why the Quran says that the differences which exist
between various religions are not the responsibility of the prophets, but of the
followers of these prophets who forgot part of what they had been taught, and
furthermore, misinterpreted and changed the scriptures. The Quran cannot
therefore be seen as a scripture which competes with the teachings of Moses, Jesus
and the other prophets. On the contrary, it confirms, completes and perfects the
messages that they brought to their people.
Another name for the Quran is the The Furqan which means the criteria to judge
the right from the wrong, and it is on the basis of the Quran that we can decipher
which part of the previous scriptures can be considered to be the word of God.

6. SCIENTIFIC COMPARISON BETWEEN QURAN AND BIBLE

If you glance through the Bible and the Quran you may find several points which
appear to be exactly the same in both of them, but when you analyse them closely,
you realise that there is a difference of chalk and cheese between them. Only
based on historical details it is difficult for someone who is neither conversant with
Christianity or Islam to come to a firm decision as to which of the scriptures is true;
however if you verify the relevant passages of both the scriptures against scientific
knowledge, you will yourself realize the truth.

Creation of the Universe in Six Days

As per the Bible, in the first book of Genesis in Chapter One, the universe was
created in six days and each day is defined as a twenty-four hours period. Even
though the Quran mentions that the universe was created in six Ayyaams,
Ayyaam is the plural of years; this word has two meanings: firstly, it means a
standard twenty-four hours period i.e. a day, and secondly, it also means stage,
period or epoch which is a very long period of time.
When the Quran mentions that the universe was created in six Ayyaams, it refers
to the creation of the heavens and the earth in six long periods or epochs; scientists

have no objection to this statement. The creation of the universe has taken billions
of years, which proves false or contradicts the concept of the Bible which states that
the creation of the Universe took six days of twenty-four hour durations each.

Sun Created After the Day

The Bible says in chapter 1, verses 3-5, of Genesis that the phenomenon of day and
night was created on the first day of creation of the Universe by God. The light
circulating in the universe is the result of a complex reaction in the stars; these
stars were created according to the Bible (Genesis chapter 1 verse 14 to 19) on the
fourth day. It is illogical to mention the result that is the light (the phenomenon of
day and night) was created on the first day of Creation when the cause or source of
the light was created three days later. Moreover the existence of evening and
morning as elements of a single day is only conceivable after the creation of the
earth and its rotation around the sun. In contrast with the contents of the Bible on
this issue, the Quran does not give any unscientific sequence of Creation. Hence it
is absolutely absurd to say that Prophet Muhummad copied the passages
pertaining to the creation of the universe from the Bible but missed out this illogical
and fantastic sequence of the Bible.

Creation of the Sun, The Earth and the Moon

According to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 9 to 13, the earth was
created on the third day, and as per verses 14 to 19, the sun and the moon were
created on the fourth day. The earth and the moon emanated, as we know, from
their original star, the Sun. Hence to place the creation of the sun and the moon
after the creation of the earth is contrary to the established idea about the
formation of the solar system.

Vegetation Created on the third day and Sun on the fourth day
According to the Bible, Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verses 11-13, vegetation was
created on the third day along with seed-bearing grasses, plants and trees; and
further on as per verses 14-19, the sun was created on the fourth day. How is it
scientifically possible for the vegetation to have appeared without the presence of
the sun, as has been stated in the Bible?
If Prophet Muhummad was indeed the author of the Quran and had copied its
contents from the Bible, how did he manage to avoid the factual errors that the
Bible contains? The Quran does not contain any statements which are incompatible
with scientific facts.

The Sun and the Moon both Emit light

Islamic Information Center

According to the Bible both the sun and the moon emit their own light. In the Book
of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 16 says, "And God made two great lights; the greater
light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night".
Science tells us today that the moon does not have its own light. This confirms the
Quranic concept that the light of the moon is a reflected light. To think that 1400
years ago, Prophet Muhummad corrected these scientific errors in the Bible and
then copied such corrected passages in the Quran is to think of something
impossible.

7. ADAM , THE FIRST MAN ON EARTH, LIVED 5,800 YEARS AGO

As per the genealogy of Jesus Christ given in the Bible, from Jesus through
Abraham to the first man on earth i.e. Adam , Adam appeared on the earth
approximately 5800 years ago:
1948 years between Adam and Abraham
Approximately 1800 years between Abraham and Jesus
2000 years from Jesus till today
These figures are further confused by the fact that the Jewish calendar is currently
on or about 5800 years old.
There is sufficient evidence from archaeological and anthropological sources to
suggest that the first human being on earth was present tens of thousands of years
ago and not merely 5,800 years ago as is suggested by the Bible.
The Quran too speaks about Adam as the first man on earth but it does not
suggest any date or period of his life on earth, unlike the Bible - what the Bible says
in this regard is totally incompatible with science.

8. NOAH AND THE FLOOD

The Biblical description of the flood in Genesis chapter 6, 7 and 8 indicates that the
deluge was universal and it destroyed every living thing on earth, except those
present with Noah in the ark. The description suggests that the event took place
1656 years after the creation of Adam or 292 years before the birth of Abraham,
at a time when Noah was 600 years old. Thus the flood may have occurred in
the 21st or 22nd Century B.C.
This story of the flood, as given in the Bible, contradicts scientific evidence from
archaelogical sources which indicate that the eleventh dynasty in Egypt and the
third dynasty in Babylonia were in existence without any break in civilisation and in
a manner totally unaffected by any major calamity which may have occurred in the
21st century B.C. This contradicts the Biblical story that the whole world had been

immersed in the flood water. In contrast to this, the Quranic presentation of the
story of Noah and the flood does not conflict with scientific evidence or
archaeological data; firstly, the Quran does not indicate any specific date or year of
the occurance of that event, and secondly, according to the Quran the flood was
not a universal phenomenon which destroyed complete life on earth. In fact the
Quran specifically mentions that the flood was a localised event only involving the
people of Noah.
It is illogical to assume that Prophet Muhummad had borrowed the story of the
flood from the Bible and corrected the mistakes before mentioning it in the Quran.

9. MOSES AND PHARAOH OF THE EXODUS

The story of Moses and the Pharaoh of the Exodus are very much identical in
the Quran and the Bible. Both scriptures agree that the Pharaoh drowned when he
tried to pursue Moses and led the Israelites across a stretch of water that they
crossed. The Quran gives an additional piece of information in Surah Yunus chapter
10 verse 92:
"This day shall We save thee in thy body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who
come after thee! But verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!" [AlQuran 10:92]
Dr. Maurice Bucaille, after a thorough research proved that although Rameses II
was known to have persecuted the Israelites as per the Bible, he actually died while
Moses was taking refuge in Median. Rameses IIs son Merneptah who succeeded
him as Pharaoh drowned during the exodus. In 1898, the mummified body of
Merneptah was found in the valley of Kings in Egypt. In 1975, Dr. Maurice Bucaille
with other doctors received permission to examine the Mummy of Merneptah, the
findings of which proved that Merneptah probably died from drowning or a violent
shock which immediately preceeded the moment of drowning. Thus the Quranic
verse that we shall save his body as a sign, has been fulfilled by the Pharaohs body
being kept at the Royal Mummies room in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
This verse of the Quran compelled Dr. Maurice Bucaille, who was a Christian then,
to study the Quran. He later wrote a book The Bible, the Quran and Science, and
confessed that the author of the Quran can be no one else besides God Himself.
Thus he embraced Islam.

10. QURAN IS A BOOK FROM ALLAH

These evidences are sufficient to conclude that the Quran was not copied from the
Bible, but that the Quran is the Furqaan - the Criteria to judge right from wrong

and it should be used to decipher which portion of the Bible may be considered as
the Word of God.
The Quran itself testifies in Surah Sajda chapter 32 verse 1 to 3

(This is) the revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt from the Lord of
the Worlds.
Or do they say, He has forged it? Nay, it is the Truth from thy Lord, that thou
mayest admonish a people to whom no warner has come before thee: in order that
they may receive guidance."

8. Is it not true that Jesus is the only begotten son of

God.
1. Allah is far above human needs for children and begetting them
Allah says in the Quran in Surah Yunus 10:68

They have said, "Allah has taken a son." Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of
need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You
have no authority for this [claim]. Do you say about Allah that which you do not
know?
Allah says in the Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:116
They say, Allah has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, to Him belongs whatever is
in the heavens and the earth. All are devoutly obedient to Him,

2. Indeed, this is a grave insult

The Quran mentions in Surah Maryam, Chapter 19 verse 88 to 92
88. And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son."

89. You have done an atrocious thing.

90. The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the
mountains collapse in devastation
91. That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.
92. And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.
Allah further says in the Quran 4:171

O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth .
The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word
which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe
in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you.
Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever
is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of
affairs.

9. Jesus No human Father

Question:
Is it not true that Jesus is God since he had no human father?
Answer:

1.If that is the criteria then what will you say about Adam?
Jesus is being considered as a god and the son of God by many due to the fact
that he had no human father. However if this is the criteria then what will one say
about Adam? Allah says in the Quran 4:59
Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from
dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.
Adam did not have a father nor a mother! Hence he would have to be considered to
be a bigger god! However both Adam and Jesus have been created by Allah alone.

2. Allah does not have any beginning nor any end.

Jesus was born in this world and he will die. If he would have been God then who
was managing this world before he was born and after he died? Why dont we
worship Allah alone who is the one who was neither born and nor will he ever die! It
is mentioned in the Quran 112:1-4
1. Say, "He is Allah , [who is] One,
2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute
3.He neither begets nor is born,
4. Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
It is mentioned in the Quran about Allah 57:3
He is the First (nothing is before Him) and the Last (nothing is after Him), the

they are [but] honored servants.

10. Is it not true that Jesus is God since he performed

so many miracles.
Answer:

1.

Jesus did miracles with the power and will of Allah alone

Allah says in the Quran 5:110

[The Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon
you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you
spoke to the people in the cradle1 and in maturity; and [remember] when I
taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you
designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then
you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission2; and you healed
the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the
dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from
[killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved
among them said, "This is not but obvious magic."

2.

The Miracles done by Jesus were a SIGN of his being a Prophet of

God, so that people would be able to recognize him.

Allah states in the Quran 3:49

And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I
1

This Miracle is no where mentioned in the Bible. According to the Christian Bible the first miracle of Jesus was to
convert water into wine at the age of about 30.
2
Even this miracle is unknown to Christians since it is not mentioned in the Bible.

have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay
[that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird
by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the
dead - by permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you
store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.
3. Other Prophets also did Miracles will you consider them also to be Gods?
Other Prophets sent by Allah also did many miracles. If miracles is the criteria to
decide who is God then will any Christian consider them to also be Gods?
The Miracle of Jesus wherein he brought dead back to life is considered by some as
sign of being God. However, if we compare this miracle with the miracle of Moses in
which turned the stick into a living snake, by Allahs will. Jesus brought a living
person back to life, the species in this case remain the same. But Moses made a
things from the vegetable kingdom become a creature from the animal kingdom.
The species have risen in this case. From this criteria, this is a bigger miracle. Will
any Christian start worshipping Moses too?

3.

Prophet Muhammed was given the standing Miracle

Prophet Muhammed was given several miracles as mentioned in the books of

Hadith. However the standing Miracle which all of mankind can examine till today is
the Quran! The language of the Quran is a miracle and continues to touch people
till today leading them to realize that this book could never have a human author.
The Quran stands protected by Allah till today even after over 1400 years with not
a word having changed (see Quran 15:9). There are verses in the Quran since the
past 1400 years which talk about such things which science has discovered recently
in the past 50-100 years.
Allah says in the Quran 29:50-51
50. But they say, "Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "The
signs are only with Allah , and I am only a clear warner."
51. And is it not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is
recited to them? Indeed in that is a mercy and reminder for a people who believe.

11. Is Jesus God?

Answers of three major reasons why people consider Jesus to be God are
mentioned in Question Number 9, 10 and 11. Here are additional points to prove
that Jesus is NOT god.

1. Jesus was dependant

Allah says in the Quran 5:75

The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have
passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used
to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are
deluded.
Jesus needed food, air, water, clothing etc. He was dependant on these things. How
can he be considered God? God is the one who is free of all needs!

2. Jesus prayed to God

It is not for God to pray, it is for man to pray and beseech. Allah listens to the
prayers of man and answers them. Jesus prayed to Allah, then how can he be
considered God?

3. Logic A=B, B=C, therefore A=C

Ask the Christian: Could you ever become God?
He should reply, No, because I am a human being.
Ask: Was, Jesus Christ a human being?
He should reply, Yes
Inform the Christian, Therefore he could never be God.

4. Jesus will himself reject his worship

Allah says in the Quran 5:116

And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the
people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah ?'" He will say, "Exalted
are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You
would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is
within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.
Allah says in the Quran 19:34-39
34: That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in
dispute.
35: It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an
affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is.
36: [Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him.
That is a straight path."
37: Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to
those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day.
38: How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the
wrongdoers today are in clear error.
39: And warn them, [O Muhammed], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be
concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe.

12. Why should Christians accept Prophet Muhammed

?
1. Pure message. True Messenger.
The message of monotheism is found today in its purity only in Islam. This message
is the most basic test for deciding which religion is true. Islam streses today that
God is one and only without any partners, with none like Him and all forms of
worship should be dedicated to Him alone. The relationship with his creator is the
most fundamental understanding for any human. We live on earth and enjoy the
blessings and favours of God. Yet, if do recognize the truth about him and our duty
to
him,
then
this
is
real
ingratitude.
Allah says in the Quran 7:158

Say, [O Muhammad ], "O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all,
[from Him] to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is
no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death." So believe in Allah and His
Messenger, the unlettered prophet, who believes in Allah and His words, and follow
him that you may be guided.

2. Double reward
Allah says in the Quran 57:28

O you who believe [in Moses (i.e. Jews) and Jesus (i.e. Christians)]! Fear Allah, and
believe too in His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), He will give you a double
portion of His Mercy, and He will give you a light by which you shall walk
(straight), and He will forgive you. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Prophet Muhammed said
And if a man believes in Jesus and then believes in me, he will get a double
reward. [Recorded in Sahih Bukhari 4:655]

3. Dont do the mistake the Jews did!

The Jews in their own pride and arrogance rejected Jesus and called him an

imposter. It is now for the Christians to see the clear signs with which Prophet
Muhammed has come and accept him as the true messenger of Allah. Will our
Christian brothers also do the same mistake which the Jews did?

4. The Original religion of Jesus

Allah says in the Quran 5:72

..Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah , my Lord and your Lord."
Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and
his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.

5. No New Religion
Allah says in the Quran 42: 13

He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which
We have revealed to you, [O Muhammed ], and what We enjoined upon Abraham
and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult
for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them. Allah
chooses for Himself whom He wills and guides to Himself whoever turns back [to
Him].

6. Why do you reject clear Signs?

"Say: 'O people of the Book (Jews and Christians)! Why do you reject the signs of
Allah when Allah is Himself witness to all that you do?'" [Qur'an 3:98]
