An Illustrated Introduction

to the Mathematical
English System
A language, like most complex things, can be either learned with a

method or through a

system. The way one learns it will either produce a bunch of unrelated parts of the language

present in ones memory or an integrated language ready to be used. In both cases the way of
acquiring the language frames how and where in the mind of the student the language is present.

Depending on the form in which a language exists in the mind it can be located either in the memory
or rooted in the Universal

Linguistic Platform (ULP) of the mind.

The Universal Linguistic Platform is a two dimensional mental sphere within which the human
mind can deal with any linguistic data or can learn and construct a new language. This ULP has its
own special characteristics that can be followed in the process of learning a second language. This is
also what a child follows when he learns his mother tongue.

In both directions we will reach a limit at one point (C).

If we imagine
the human mind
as space, then
from a starting
point we can go
horizontally in
one direction (A)
as far as the
processing of a
thought allows
us. In a
perpendicular
direction (B) we
can go mentally
as far as human
language can
express a
human thought.

The extent of the mental sphere we covered this


way is the Universal Linguistic Platform within
which linguistic expressions exist as such:

we cannot teach a
language; we can only set the environment for learning to take place.
He had, very rightly, this to say about language teaching:

Ever since, language schools ended up only setting environments and teaching students about
languages. Now that we know about the mental frame to which every language conforms, it is possible
to teach a student the language itself.

There is a huge difference between knowing about the


game and actually knowing the game.
When a student learns a language by the traditional
methods, he memorizes the bits and parts of that
language in order to use them when he eventually
knows how to speak that particular language.

From all those parts, later on, he will have to

construct a language by his own tiresome


effort, or else, all his knowledge of that
language will remain useless for him.
On the other hand, a student who learns a
language through an integrated and
systematic approach, will construct that
language on his ULP, and by the time he completes his language course his language is ready to be
used because he had not only memorized parts of that language, but also, constructed a new
language in his mind, right where his mind deals with linguistic expressions.

The good news is that we might not need to wait that long for the above mentioned new era because
there is already a revolutionary language learning/teaching system invented based on this
discovery:

The Mathematical English System (MES) is not mathematical


because the students do not perform calculations in the class, but instead they
learn the language the same way they learn mathematics.

The Mathematical English System entirely replaces the difficult grammar with a set of numerical
formulae. Grammar is not learned as a separate subject because it is innate in the formulae.
This is to say that the Mathematical English System automatically produces a language in the
mind from the lessons learned in the classes, and the English language is present in the students
mind as shown in the first two pictures below:
A language learned through a system produces an
integrated whole at any stage of the course,
though it may be incomplete.
Such a
language
learning
system is
useful at any
given moment
to the extent
of ones progress in that language.
Unlike the currently used methods that provide the
students with parts of the English language in an
unrelated and disorganized way in the mind as shown in the picture below:

Moreover, the formulae of the MES are not


based on grammar but on the principles of
human communication, in other words, on
the exact same structure on which all human

languages are built. Therefore, with one set of those formulae abstracted from an article for example,
countless speeches of countless topics can be created:

English is a simplified language with a direct approach to reality, unlike French for example, so the
number of variants for its underlying principles is also relatively small in number. Due to this, it has a
small number of formulae which enables a student to learn the Complete English Linguistic
Structure (CELS) in a very short time compared to the conventional methods or to other
languages. The CELS is the skeleton of the English language and beyond it a student will not need an
English teacher anymore because he has enough knowledge to learn the rest of the English language
automatically by communicating in it.

Most language students have a purpose in learning a particular language. Their goals look extremely
distant for them at the beginning of their study. In general, they tend to stick to the school or the
learning method that makes their goals feel closer or more reachable to them.

Since, the Mathematical English System is


an integrated, systematic, and symbolized
knowledge based on the science of
communication, even at a lower level, it permits
us to teach a second language from real life
events and articles, such as newspaper articles,
novels essays, etcetera, as opposed to tailored
and scripted lessons and reading materials.

The method of teaching this


language learning

system is the final goal of


language learning itself.
Yes, you read it right:

The method is the goal,

the individual goals of the students

themselves.

Learning a language through the Mathematical


English System means to save

effort ,
time , and therefore, to save money .

Below is an image of how the English language has spread and how widely it is being used today in
the world. After a quick look at it, we can notice that at least the half of the world is way behind in
speaking English. In fact, the number of non-English speaking nations is higher than the Anglophone
countries.

Any government or private company with the

means can turn any country


into an English speaking
nation in just one generation
by implementing the
Mathematical English System
and making it available to the people.

of the Mathematical English System, but I am convinced that
