Upon motion of Councilor Rosalinda L. Bondal, duly seconded, the following City Ordinance was
enacted:

CITY ORDINANCE NO. 95-240

All Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING EMILIA STREET, BARANGAY PALANAN, AS
ONE-WAY FLOW VEHICULAR TRAFFIC PASSAGE FROM SOUTH
DIVERSION ROAD (SSH) TOWARDS MARCONI STREET AND PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF.

WHEREAS, there is an imperative need to eradicate and/or remove the causes of traffic accidents,
fuel and energy wastage, trip delays and congestions occurs daily along Emilia Street, Barangay
Palanan, Makati City;

WHEREAS, the City Government of Makati deems it very wise to provide ways and means to
maximize the safe use of roads and streets in the city;
WHEREAS, two years ago, Emilia Street has been on experimental stage as one-way flow vehicular
passage from South Diversion Road (SSH) towards Marconi Street;
WHEREAS, there is now a need to declare the aforementioned traffic experiment as permanent since
it has proven very successful.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MAKATI, METRO
MANILA, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT:
Section 1. Emilia Street is hereby declared as one-way flow vehicular traffic passage from South
Diversion Road (SSH), towards Marconi St., Barangay Palanan.
Section 2. All motor vehicles found violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be towed and
impounded and all violators hereof shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 38, S88.
Section 3. The Department of Makati Public Safety (MAPSA) of the City of Makati, and Philippine
National Police shall insure the strict implementation of this Ordinance.
Section 4. All Ordinance/s contrary to or inconsistent with any provisions of this Ordinance are
hereby repealed and annulled.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
