Habitudes

At the end of each chapter you will need to answer the following questions. Just edit and
save this document and you will submit it when asked. We will discuss each response in class
when we meet. Please take time to read the material and reflect on the responses. It is an easy
read and you will enjoy the material and the time to reflect.

A. Talk It Over
1- Student have been taught to be stuck in the past because we in society say that the
future is unknown and scary. We have taught our students to always stay in the past
because we dont want to confront what is scary.
2- For me, No. I am all about moving forward and embracing what is in the future. I am
always thrilled to move on and embrace the scary thing in life.
3- My energy comes from the future. I strive on what is coming next in my life. Im all
about moving forward and experiencing new things
4- Ill use myself as an example. Im a senior and will be graduating next year and
moving off the college. For me the rearview mirror is moving out of state. When I
was first thinking about college I was thinking about going in state. But I want to step
out of my confer zone and not look into the rearview mirror and move on

1- With my personal experience, people are selfish and people dont share things
because they are afraid to be disciplined.
2- The most challenging thing for me is to personally connect with them and find
something I have in common with them.
3- The last time I met a younger person in a professional setting they were on their
phone. Thats the cruse, the blessing can be noticed when the person knows exactly
what they are doing to work the technology and all the useful way of how it works
4- The coolest relationship Ive ever built was the developer of break out KC, they were
funny, personable, and extremely nice. I learned how to talk with soon to be coworkers.

A. Talk It Over
1- Most students dont deal with their baggage because a lot of people dont like to deal
with what wrong in the moment.
2- I think its the fact that people are so busy society has in theory taught to not deal with
things
3- For me the answer I false, only because I dont worry about what is wrong i just move
on and focus on my future.
4- Yes, in the situation I acknowledge what was wrong and then moved on. Its unhealthy
to get caught up on things and never move on.

A. Talk It Over1. They are afraid of being known and afraid of being criticized
2. Like I said in the talk it over answer people are always being chastised for sharing
too much or sharing something to personal, so the guard rails are put up to ensure that
the person is humiliated

self so then they could offer that to me in turn

1- Because they are either judging it or agreeing with it.
2- Personally I think high school does a great job of creating that for our society. While
in high school you experience a wide range of personalities. Some can be immature,
while others are far ahead of others when it comes to matureness. I think that aspect
of our society creates never land effect because we are always exposed to kids
younger than us so we have to learn how to not get in their mind set.
3- Number one roadblock is probably being too scared to speak up or say something.
4- I dont think Ill need to pay a price, I think I just need to suck it up and deal with
my fears

1- My perspective on expectation is that they are an unspoken rule of how to help run
your life on a daily basis. I believe that if you dont have expectation yourself then
you wont ever be able to perform at your best
2- Personally I think some people set their own expectation way to high, I believe that
your expectations should be high but not unreasonable. People crash and burn
because their expectation are too high
3- For me I really hate unexpected things happening, it something that just puts me on
edge and something that just make me preform worst then before. One of my
expectation that didnt go the way I wanted it to was an FCCLA event, I had high
expectation and they were let down because other people didnt pull through

Last year I went to FCCLA regional comp. and placed first and got to move onto state. Long
story short there was a mix up in the rules and we ended up placing 2nd when we should have
gotten first. I hoped to place first because then the school would actually have recognized that
FCCLA actually mattered, I also hoped to place first because it something really good to have on
a college app. The best way to respond to this situation is to accept the loss and move on and not
worries about it because I always have this year to place first

1- I think that we have a problem commutating with our friends. Social media is
supposed help people interact but instead it shuts people down and allows them to use
their phone as a safe space.
2- Personally I think I that I handled it like an adult. When the friendship ended I was
upset but like all grownups I didnt act out feeling and I ignored the silly actions they
chose to do
3- Because the more people you know then the more connections you have. The more
connections you have the better opportunities you have

1- In this first situation I would contact the person and I would politely ask them for
what I needed. I would not say sorry I would just be polite and get to the point.

1- I am weird in the fact that I really enjoy science and history. And currently I am very
content with my life experiences
2- I see this truth in people who are very calm and very easy going. And I believe that
there are people in our life but I also believe that sometimes there can be people like
this in our lives. For me I dont really find myself liking those people to much only
because I dont prefer the extremes of some personalities
3- I think that Im really good at acknowledging both parts of dissatisfaction and
contentment so when I fell one or the other then I choose to balance it out by doing
something that is the opposite of what I was doing

1- As I think Ive mentioned in my previous entries I am a part of my churches youth
group and I play a big part in the planning of events and the planning of trips out of
town. I can recall plenty of times where I was content while participating in an event.
One of those moment Is when I am at the event Ive planned I and I got to see the
result of my planning and hard work. As beginning a person with great reasonability
in my youth group I have been dissatisfied when something goes wrong that Ive put
months of planning into.

1- The valuable thing about those people is that they have learned how to do the things
that you will be doing in the future, they can give you helpful life tips.
2- The tour guide is so rare because in todays society we like to keep to our self and not
interact with people leaving us with a disadvantage because the more we share then
the more we learn from each other.

1- Yeah I have and they just really upset everyone
2- I respect my teacher yes because of their college degree, I believe some student dont
have that same perspective as me so then the end up disrespecting a teacher. People
who dont respect teacher I have no respect for them because its not good.

1- I think I am a backseat driver most of the time but when control needs to be taken and
I take control and make sure the situation is handled properly. The situation would be
getting my youth group to the airport on time this Friday. We decided to all meet at
the airport and then go through security and then go into the waiting area. I became
calm and relaxed because everyone was late but me, but we decided to meet early
knowing people would be late. The next situation would still be that situation where
instead of getting up because one was like I let the adult who way with us get upset.

1- Because of social media, it makes us all self-absorbed because we choose to only help
our selfs.

1- The day to day person doesnt have to worry about what is in the future they only
have to worry about whats happening in their life at the moment
