The Newman Cub Pack did their bit for the
Bloody Slow Cup weekend by cleaning up
the memorial site in preparation for the
service. The site is passed the airport.
RV Honour
The Campervan and Motorhome Club of
Australia (CMCA) awarded Newman the
RV Friendly Town Status, the first town in
the NW to do so. This is attributed to the
Shire of East Pilbaras low cost overnight
parking for self-contained vehicles and
access to potable water and a dump point
for RVs (recreation vehicles). Allen Cooper,
CEO of the Shire, said The Shire has always
strived to ensure that we keep RV fees low
which keeps our visitors coming back time
and again to Newman. We are very pleased
that a national organisation like the CMCA
has recognised our commitment to low RV
fees and honoured us with this status.
Buy Local
With Christmas and the holiday season
coming up there will, no doubt, be plenty
of shopping for gifts, table settings, home,
decorations and the like, including those
purchasing to compete in the various
categories of Christmas Lights competition.
Before jumping online, consider shopping
local even if it means buying something
slightly different than your first thoughts.
