Essential Foster Care Training, Inc. will provide both online and classroom training
environments to assist you in the completion of the initial training requirements
mandated by the state and/or foster care agency to facilitate your foster care
certification. We will also provide the necessary assistance in ensuring you receive and
complete the proper annual training requirements to maintain your certification. We
have two locations, our main office in the East Valley and our satellite office in North
Phoenix is where we hold all classroom instruction but we can schedule group training
sessions and meet in a general location to accommodate large groups. Our online
training is generally used to support all classroom training as well as the annual
recertification training requirements.
We have been a family owned and operated business for the last 15 years, providing all
of the necessary needs of our foster community. You will be working with staff members
who understand the business and the ins and outs as a number of our staff have grown
up in the foster care system and several staff members are currently certified foster
parents. We have a strong growth potential as we are expanding our companys ability
to assist our Spanish and hearing impaired (American Sign Language (ASL))
communities. Each office has a sufficient number of trained staff to handle your needs
and we look forward to serving you and your family.
Job Description
1. Lead the training efforts for foster families in a manner that ensures our families have
the training that they need to perform the work that they do. This includes utilizing the
approved curriculum, effective and knowledgeable subject matter experts conduct the
training.
2. Coordinate on boarding and family training for new employees for all online courses
and classroom instructions. This may include the direct supervision of new foster
families during their introductory period.
3. Conduct Peer Trainer Certification classes to certify employees as peer trainers.
4. Serve as training liaison with Corporate Training and Development, to ensure
consistency company-wide and to participate on cross function teams as needed. This
may include helping to provide assistance with training needs at other locations as
needed as well as assist with the on boarding of new Training Specialists for the
Company.
5. Identifies unaddressed training needs and raises issues accordingly so that they can
be addressed.
6. Develop training materials in support of local and company training needs.
7. Manage the administration, documentation, and coordinates the process of all
classroom Training.
8. Develops and implements training and visual job aids as required.
9. Purchases, organizes and maintains training and development resources and
equipment for the company.
10. Ensures policies are followed and provides guidance.
11. Provide a safe family and productive work environments, including housekeeping.
12. Perform other tasks as directed by direct supervisor.
Ability to travel, must have personal transportation while performing the duties of
this job, the employee is regularly required to travel to and from various foster
homes, government offices and the home office.

Job Description
1. Assist staff members in the production of information by transcribing, formatting,
inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
2. Organizes work by reading and routing correspondence; collecting information;
initiating telecommunications.
3. Assist office manager by maintaining calendars for department personnel;
arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
4. Completes requests by greeting customers, in person or on the telephone;
answering or referring inquiries.
5. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information
confidential.
Must have experience in office administration programs including but not limited
to, computer based, and on the job training.
Ability to work in both written and oral communication, word processing and
typing, and requires relevant skills such as IT, organizational and presentation
skills.
