Callhome set up on EOS system.

Setting up VSP:
1) Start the VMware vSphere Client, and then select the IP address of the vSphere
Server from
the IP address / Name list. Enter the user name and password, and then click Login.

2) On the File menu, click Deploy OVF Template.

3) Select the OVF file that you want to deploy, and then click Open. The Deploy OVF
Wizard
opens.

4) Review summary page and select next

5) On the Name and Location screen, you can change the name of the virtual SP
(the default is
the same name as the OVF file). Then, click Next.

6) Select system - HOST and click next

7) On the Disk Format screen, click to select the type of provisioning you want (thin
provisioning
is the default), and then click Next.

8) On the Ready to Complete screen, make sure that the Power on after deployment
check box
is selected, and then click Finish. The deployment will take approximately 40
minutes to
complete.

Connecting to a Virtual Service Processor to do MOB.


There are many ways to do the MOB. This needs to be done by the Customer but if
any assistance is needed we can route them to the HP support team.
First Option :
1.

If you are setting up a VSP, type the temporary SP IP address obtained in the
VMware
vSphere Client window Summary tab.

2. In the User Name text box, type setupusrand leave the password blank. You
will change this password in the SP Setup wizard.
3. Welcome Page would come up and it will allow to setup the SP
Second Option:

1. Access the Service Processor Setup Wizard on the SP at


https://<SP IP Address>/sp/SpSetupWizard.html .

2. In the User Name text box, type setupusrand leave the password blank.
3. Welcome Page would come up and it will allow to setup the SP. It will look
something like this..

4. This screen would allow you to configure the remote connectivity.

5. Configure the time and region settings accordingly

6. Review and confirm Summary information and click next

7. Click OK to connect to the (VSP) Service Processor New IP address

8. We have successfully completed (VSP) Service Processor Set up

Doing SNM on a Virtual Service Processor.


To migrate from SP Mode to Secure Network Mode:

Log-in to SP as spvar (password prompted).


From the SPMAINT main menu, type 2 for Network Configuration and press ENTER.
Type 2 for Connection Portal control and press ENTER.
Type A for Activate Secure Network Mode to activate mode and press ENTER.
Verify the following message requirements, type Y and press ENTER to continue.
Type the static IPv4 address assigned to the domain server or none and press ENTER (Refer
HP_7000 Installation Checklist file).
Based upon the system configuration requirements, type the specific confirmation to
proceed with allowing 3PAR Secure Service Policy Manager to communicate with 3PAR
Secure Service Collector. If choosing yes, enter the IP address of 3PAR Secure Service Policy
Manager (Refer HP_7000 Installation Checklist file).
Type yes to allow remote access to the service processor. (Refer HP_7000 Installation
Checklist file).
Verify the data is correct and type yes to confirm.

10. Type 1 to assign the type of 3PAR Secure Service Collector Server to connect with the
SSAgent.
11. Type no to not require a proxy server to connect to the 3PAR Secure Service Collector Server.
(Refer HP_7000 Installation Checklist file).
12. Verify the data is correct and type yes to confirm. The SP initializes communication with the
3PAR Secure Service Collector Server to complete configuration setting for communication
access.

appears. Press ENTER to exit.
