1. High-voltage, high-power transformers are one of the key apparatuses in transmission
networks. Different types of high-voltage, high-power transformers are adopted in
transmission networks due to various reasons and consideration.
Name and describe, from each of the aspects of insulation media and construction
method, two major types of high-voltage, high-power transformers. Compare the
advantages and disadvantages of the transformers you named and described for each of
the aspects of insulation media and construction method.

2. A partial discharge case was reported for a GIS busduct and the time-of-fly
method is used to determine the location of PD source. The length of between two
PD sensors is 8 m. Sensor S1 detected the PD signal first and the time different of
detecting PD between two sensors 6 ns. Please estimate the location of the PD
source from Sensor S2.
