Microsoft Certified Application Developer for Microsoft .NET Requirements

As an MCAD for Microsoft .NET candidate, you will be required to pass two core exams and one elective exam in your area
of specialization. Choose a .NET language to leverage your existing skills and familiarize yourself with the Microsoft .NET
Framework. Then learn how to develop Microsoft Windows or Web applications built on the Microsoft .NET Framework, and
increase these skills to build .NET-connected applications using XML Web ser vices.
To fulfill the core cer tification requirements, pass one exam focused on either Web application development or Windowsbased application development in the language of your choice. Then, pass one exam on XML Web ser vices and ser ver
components. Finally, pass one elective exam to complete your cer tification.
