Gone With The Wind

I chose Gone With The Wind as it is a reference to the 1939 film of the same name, even
though no concept of the game is related to the film. Wind is another name for farts, which
is a main concept in my game. I used the title flatulence and zombies in my tagline to
show the games uniqueness.

Summary
The game is set on an apocalyptic Earth where zombies have taken over. You play a man in
his mid-40s who doesnt treat his body right. You find out that zombies have taken over the
world. You have no weapons so are given the power of the farts (and later burps) to get
through the zombies and destroy the grand master.
The game is unique as it uses a different kind of weaponry to most games.

Hooks
Its an interesting and unique concept that people, mainly younger viewers, may enjoy. It also
makes fun of presidential candidate Donald Trump and what will happen as a consequence of
the 2016 election. The idea of what happens when the character burps or farts too much may
seem humorous to the player. It also uses concepts from the Matrix, such as Morpheus
appearing.

Genre
Third Person Shooter- The game is a shooting game as you shoot farts at the zombies. You use
your own bodily functions to attack the enemy. It is third-person as you can see the player. I
chose a shooting game as many modern games are shooting games, e.g. Call of Duty. It is a
shooting game with a different, if obscure weaponry.

Story
The game is set in a parallel universe where Donald Trump is president (or this universe,
depending on who wins the election). You (Eric) wake up to find that zombies have taken over.
The phone rings. Answering it, you are given minimal fart power, which you need to use to
pass through the zombies so you can reach the MI4 base. You then meet Morpheus in a
section similar to The Matrix. He tells you the grand master has put a potion in the crops
that turns the whole world into zombies. The main character is unaffected as he has never
eaten a vegetable before. Morpheus explains your mission, which is to defeat the grand
master who lives in America. He also gives you special powers so you can fart your way
through crowds of zombies. To power up, you collect tins of beans. You then set off towards
America. The problem, however, is most of the world has turned into zombies so you have to
save people to carry on with your mission. You have to get to America via airplane, however
the crew of the airplane are all zombies. You then have to get through lots of zombies in order
to get a living pilot.
Later, you meet up with Morpheus again, who gives you more special powers, this time with
burps. He warns you that if you burp too much, you throw up. He also says that if you fart too
much, you have a diarrhoea attack. Both of these incidents will cause damage to your health.
Once you get into America, you meet Morpheus again. He tells you that you must head to the
White House where the grand master, revealed to be Donald Trump, is waiting. When you get
to The White House, Trump will release a load of dead celebrities for you to pass through in
order to get to the Oval Office. In the Oval Office, Trump is waiting. Suddenly, a zombie grabs
you and you have to do a massive burp-fart to be freed. You then see Trumps wig has gone.
You press a button on the wig and everything returns to normal.

Objective
The objective of the game is to get to the White House and fart Donald Trumps wig off. I
chose Trump as the villain as Trump is another name for fart and I dont like him.

Obstacles
There are many zombies that you have to defeat in the course of the game, the first being the
main characters grandma. When you get to The White House, you have to defeat dead
celebrities in order to get to the Oval Office. In the Oval Office, Trump is waiting. Suddenly, a
zombie grabs you and you have to do a massive burp-fart to be freed.

Win/lose conditions
If you die, its game over and you go back to the last checkpoint. If you are grabbed by a
zombie, you have 5 seconds to escape before the zombie bites you. When the zombie bites
you, you die. The pilot who flies you to America is bitten if you dont block the door. When he
becomes a zombie, he will crash the plane, and you have to do a parachute jump to escape
the plane before it crashes, otherwise, you die. The effects of burping or farting causes
damage to your health. When your health bar goes, you die.
To win the game, you have to press a button on Trumps wig after farting it off. I chose this as
the way to win as it is humorous, satirical and fits into the game.

Target Audience
The target audience will be anyone who likes scatological humour and hates Donald Trump.
The target age will seemingly be kids as it is more of a childish concept, however adults may
enjoy the game too. The game would probably only appeal to boys as girls are not that
interested in farts.
The game will be free on Android, Apple and online so you can play it without having to pay.
This is good as it means children can play the game without their parents having to pay. I will
release it around the world in English, Mandarin and Spanish as they are the three most
spoken languages in the world. This is good as it means that more people can play it.

Market research
The game has similar aspects to the 2014 role-playing video game South Park- The Stick of
Truth. In both of them, the main character uses the power of the farts to destroy enemies,
although in that game, you dont just use farts to defeat the enemy. They both have an
overweight character named Eric and they both have scenes reminiscent to The Matrix.
I am using Morpheus from the Matrix to explain the controls and the story. I did this as people
often like references to popular culture. Also, Morpheus is clever and can give people powers.
