Senior Project Log

Directions: During the Senior Project you will keep an up-to-date record of the effort, problems, solutions, results, and time you have spent working on your paper and
project. This log will be a part of the Portfolio that you will turn in before your presentation. Your log will be checked four times throughout the course of the year.

There will be two parts to your log entries. The first part will pertain to the facts regarding your project. The second part will be a reflective writing on your feelings
about the project. You must use complete sentences in the reflective section. IMPORTANT: There are four due dates for these logs; however, begin a new log each time
you complete ten hours on your project.

Reflective Entry
1.

During the hours of this log, I began my schedule with Craig, and started to go to practices regularly on
Tuesdays and Thursdays (all hours could not be logged, too many). In this log, I recorded the most important dates,
such as my first practice, Craig teaching me certain things, and the most interesting observations. On 8/25, I learned
why we rehabiliate shin splints the way we do, and he led me through the process. At the next practice, I was able to
show someone shin splint exercises and walk them through what Craig taught me beforehand. During this log I also
shadowed my first vasrtiy football game. I stood on the sidelines along with Craig and assisted him to any help he
needed throughout the game.

2.

What problems have you encountered so far? How have you adhered to your original timeline?

So far, the most difficult thing Ive encountered is trying to understand some of the terminology Craig uses
when explaining certain aspects of the body or injuries to me

3.

Explain what you did during this log period. The length of this section will depend on the amount of time you have spent on the
project during this period of time. If you collected money, where have you deposited it? *Submit at least one artifact as evidence of
work done on this log.

Were you able to solve them? If not, why not? What adjustments have you made to your original timeline?

I usually am able to just tell him I dont understand, or ask him to slow down and he is understanding
and explains and teaches in a way for me to get a better understanding

4.

What are your feelings or thoughts about the project at this time?

At this time, I am still very intersted in this line of work, if not more. I have been able to have hands on
experience and I feel like I am recieveing very important information everyday

5.

Have you had any successes, or have you learned something new?

(see above) Ive learned shin splint rehabiltion, exercises to heal certain things, and the way hips work, are
injured, and healed.
