SQL server database administration in 24*7 production support
environment.
Currently working with IBM (Your company mentioned in the Resume).
Previously worked with Infosys (Your previous company mentioned in
the Resume).
About my education, I am a BE graduate (mention your education like
Bsc, MCA or BE) from XYZ University in the year XXX.
Currently we are providing 24*7 Database support for the client ABC
(need to mention the client from your current project).
My Day to Day responsibilities are resolving tickets (both incidents and
change request) which includes.
Installation, Configuration and Administration in different
versions like SQL Server 2012, 2008 R2, 2005.
Applying SQL Server patches, Cumulative packs and hot
fixes.
Verifying and resolving the SQL Server Blocking and Dead
lock issues and Finding and fixing the root cause
Resolving the Disk space issues and finding the root cause
and implementing the permanent fixes.
Taking Full, differential and log Backups and restoring them
when required
Refreshing the Test Databases from Production Data on need
basis for Testing purpose.
Performing security activities like Creating logins, adding
the users and managing the permissions.
Creating and scheduling the jobs and troubleshooting
the failed jobs.
Performing
Database
Maintenance
Activities
like
rebuilding/reorganizing
indexes,
update
statistics,
checking database integrity and clean up history on
regular intervals.
Resolving Space Management issues like TempDB contention,
Data and log file space issues.
Configuring and Troubleshooting high availability solutions
like Log Shipping, Database Mirroring and Replication.
Performing the Cluster installation and adding the nodes
in
the
respective
servers
in
SQL
Server
2000,2005,2008R2
Performing the Failover and Failback operations in the
cluster environment and adding the new Disks and
troubleshooting activities.

team (They will have 0 Technical knowledge). They will assess your
communication skills and your confident levels. You just need to talk very
confidently with them. You don't need to worry about technical things.
