What is a descriptive essay?

It provides details about on how something

looks, feels, tastes, smells, makes one feel, or
sound. It generally uses a lot of sensory
images.
It give details that can make a person, place or
thing comes to life.

What is a narrative essay?

It tells a story of personal experience, it is

commonly written in the first person point of
view.
This essay could tell of a single life shaping
event, or simply a daily experience.

What is an expository essay?

It gives readers information and explanations.

It explains how to do something (process),
How things are alike or different( compare and
contrast), and why something has happened
(cause and effect)

What is a persuasive essay?

It attempts to persuade the reader to the

writers point of view
The writer can be either serious or funny, but
always tries to convince the reader the validity
of his/her opinion.
