The architecture: It began in Crete where the palaces were economic, political and
religious center of the cities. In Athens, Acropolis called walled centers and public

ROMAN CIVILIZATION

substantiated and classified laws, creating techniques and formulas for trials. Roman
law is in force in the current systems of justice of the Western peoples.
