- Review old repertoire
- Create Halloween chants in small groups
Objectives:
- The learner will be able to composer a Halloween chant using rhythm cards.
- The learner will be able to remember old repertoire.

Materials:
- Halloween rhythm cards
- John Kanaka
- Raspberries
- Pick a Pumpkin
- Non-pitched percussion instruments
- Premade groups
Teacher Preparation:
- Create groups
- Create Halloween rhythm cards
- Set out instrument stations
Input: (EP: Visual, Kinesthetic, Creative)
- Hello Everybody 2 minutes
- Che Che Coolay
o Have 1 student lead the class (Assessment)
- John Kanaka 3 minutes
o Sing 3 4 times through (Assessment)
- Halloween chants 30 - 35 minutes
o Review Ta/Ti-Ti/Ti-Ri-Ti-Ri
o Set students in premade groups
o Explain process

Reflection:
- Students may pick 1 type of instrument for the group. The chant must be spoken. Review rhythms before
handing out materials so that students are speaking the rhythm more clearly.
