Tips to Crack BITSAT 2017 with High Score

BITSAT 2017 is an online CBT (Computer Based Test) for admission in

undergraduate engineering courses at BITS Pilani.BITSAT is considered at par with
JEE as it is the entrance test for BITS one of the primere technical institution in
India.BITS has three campuses in Pilani,Hyderabad and Goa.
It is on the preferred list of colleges for any student who wish to pursue
engineering career.
The difficulty level of BITSAT 2017 is more or less same as JEE Main.But unlike
JEE,questions are shorter and trickier whereas the JEE questions are a bit lengthy.

Preparation for BITSAT 2017 examination,requires the knowledge of appropriate

syllabus,exam pattern,exam schedule and proper strategy to score well.
Few tips are shared in this article in order to help candidates crack BITSAT and
score more than 300:
1. Follow the BITSAT 2017 syllabus thoroughly and prepare topicwise.The
complete syllabus is available in the online Information brochure.
2. There are less topics asked in BITSAT 2017 as compared to IIT-JEE. Most of the
questions are formula based so try to learn all the formulas by heart.Accuracy and
speed are two important aspects in BITSAT.
3. Revise the previous read topics daily once and allocate time for this purpose in
your schedule.Effective time management is the key.
4. The BITSAT include following sbjects ; physics, chemistry,mathematics, English
and Logical Reasoning.For mathematics prepare a list of important formulas on an
A4 sheet and memorize it daily.In the same way important points can be listed for
Physics and Chemistry also. This lists will come hand for the last minute revisions.

5. Mathematics can be easily conqured with lots of practice.Prepare a pack of

Questions written on a small card.The questions will cover all the read topics.You
can pick 2-5 cards and solve them daily.so you will be able to do the same
problem within fraction of second in the exam hall.
6. It is advised to attempt atleast 110-120 questions. As there is a provision for
negative marking hence it is essential to answer atmost 120 questions correctly to
score more than 350.
7. You should give time for preparation of English as it has 20 questions and
scoring well in the subject will add to the final score.
8. Start with preparation of the subject you find easy it will encourage you while
preparation.Move over to the tougher topics and cover English and reasoning in
the last leg of preparation.Do not start new topics while the exam dates are
close.This ime must be used for revision of all the old topics.
9. Do not spend more than a minute per question while solving the question in
exam. If you waste much time on a single question it is likely that you will not get
sufficient time to attempt more than 100 question in all.
10. Various BITSAT 2017 mock test series are available online .You must attempt
these test to get hold of the speed and accuracy in an effective manner. It will
prepare you while enhancing the test skill for the three hour Computer based
exam.
